Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Trading platform by traders for traders

So it sounds like most commercial ones won't work, since they are compiled. :(

Trading from charts:

you can easily place pending orders by dragging and dropping "Buy" and "Sell" from any panel on chart:

once orders are placed, you can easily modify it, set SL and TP levels on the chart:

On chart trading. Nice!

One of the biggest flaws in MT4 was at least partly corrected in the cTrader platform. cTrader supposedly provides direct connections to the LPs, so the broker never has any opportunity to insert artificial spikes, widen spreads (above any agreed upon level if the broker is collecting money from spreads), or delay order execution to collect/charge differential slippage.

Does this platform provide anything like that? If not, are there any other safeguards against a broker or 3rd party creating some sort of VDP for the platform in order to cheat clients?

Alerts for trading:

Is powerful feature, that helps traders. You can Set Value Alert or Series Alert for a trading activity on the market.

For example, we set Alert, that EURUSD high price will cross 1.13900 level (right-click on chart - Alerts - Value Alert):

Then we select Actions for triggered Alert - open Market Sell order and set status of alert as Active:

Once the price trigger our level, order is opened:

The one more feature, that will be useful for traders is placing Limit Order in Spread and modify it by scrolling the mouse with pressed Ctrl button :
