Why do Forex Traders lose money?

Especially the copying others part - no one really knows what will happen next and where the price will go (unless you're the one moving the markets :) ).

A trader should make the effort to learn enough so that they can form their own opinion about what will happen next. Blindly following others never leads to anything good.

It's true. If you are losing money better to lose for your mistake (from which you'll hopefully learn) than for others'.

I just like to think of myself as a helpful donor of funds which go to brokers and winning traders. :D

But that's not the only reason, a trader can be wrong at times but that doesn't mean he should lose a huge amount of money. Good money management can save anyone even if he has done wrong analysis.

Frankly, part of one's analysis should be that they're wrong about their analysis, as odd as it may sound. Be prepared for everything and you'll be fine.
