I have some very good news about second place. The second place winner would have been Forex-Swiss, but they got in touch with the FPA, paid what was owed to the trader and fixed a policy to make sure it didn't happen again. The FPA always prefers that issues be resolved.
The third place winner, for refusing to communicate with traders after confiscating profits, is StartForex and their IB VelocityForex.
The second place winner, for cancelling a 5 year old IB contract and confiscating a month's worth of trading commissions with no advanced notice, GCITrading.
And finally, the biggest and nastiest scam broker of 2009. This company kept saying nothing was wrong while delaying withdrawals. They even denied there was a problem after they were seized by Swiss regulators. It turns out that some of their owners also ran UniversalBrokerageFx, that won 3rd place in the FPA's 2009 Managed Account Scam of the Year Awards.
