Hello to you all,

I have been playing around with a demo site for a few weeks now, and i am getting fairly comfortable with the way things work, I have had some good results, mainly with short term trades.

I must say that I did get 101 pips from the usd/cad that sir pips put up this morning.
My problem now, is that I have opened a live account and i just keep staring at it!

Cant bring myself to push any buttons ( its only been open for about half an hour, but seem like an age)

Can anyone suggest to me some good pairs to start off with, that are not too volitile!?!?!?

cheers,

Mark.

Stick to the EUR/USD, GBPUSD, USDJOY, or USDCHF. Set your trade size to the absolute minimum and put in a small stoploss. Take a stiff drink of your favorite form of alcohol, and push the button.

I have done 11 trades now, running fairly even, just a little out of pocket.

Today I traded usd/cad after the spike down on the canadian m/m news.

then i got spiked out, by a massive spike around 20 miniutes later.

What causes the spikes ??

Can they be predicted.

Regards,

Mark
