Default FPA Contest #2 Winners - 03-16-2009, 05:30 AM

The final price for the EURUSD was 1.29250 The closest predictions were off by only an amazingly low 5.0 pips. This puts mouafeq in a tie with wwwsikhote for first place. To break the tie, I have to look at which one came closest to predicting the price of the GBP/USD. Mouafeq came closer, missing the 1.39860 final price by 274.0 pips as opposed to wwwsikote who missed it by 659.0 pips.

So, mouafeq wins the first prize of $1000 and wwwsikote wins the second prize of $500.

Third place goes to sadedo, who was only off target by 7.2 pips.
Fourth place goes to Krum, who was only off target by 7.4 pips.
Fifth place goes to doka, who was only off target by 8.5 pips.
Sixth place goes to ge0refx, was only off target by 13.0 pips.
Seventh place goes to naphan009, who was only off target by 14.0 pips.

I will go ahead and contact the winners now using the email addresses registered to their forum accounts to see how they want their prizes delivered. I ask them to please write back as soon as possible. Any winner not replying to the email or in this thread by noon (New York Time) on Friday, March 20th will be thanked for generously donating their money for me to spend going out partying on the weekend.

If anyone has any disputes about the list of prize winners, you have until noon (New York Time) on Wednesday, March 18th to post your objections. Otherwise, the list of winners will be considered final and prize money will be distributed. Winners are asked to post a confirmation message in this thread when they receive their money.

Thanks again to Tradeview Forex for sponsoring this contest.

I've just emailed all the winners. If you are one of them and don't have the message, check your spam/bulk/junk mail folder.

In your reply to the email, I need to know what country you are in. If our first place winner is in the USA, there's a little bit of extra paperwork. If you want the money by PayPal, I'll just need you to confirm your preferred email address. If by Western Union, I'll need your name and city. If you want a check, I'll need your full mailing address.

I'll try to get the best predictions for the GBP by tomorrow.

I've heard from everyone except for Doka and Ge0ref. I'll send them another email and ask the Forums Team to also send one.

I think my Forex Magic 8 Ball malfunctioned.

It is too late to ask for a do-over? :-)
