Default Forex Signal (Fri, Feb 05, 8:30 am EST) US NonFarm Employment - 02-04-2010, 11:14 AM

Hi there

This is Crazy Cat with a potentially profitable trading opportunity...

Friday, Feb 05th (8:30 am New York Time) USA

We have US NonFarm Employment Change coming out. It is expected to read 27. Last month it read -85.

I recommend trading USD/JPY for this report.

Please read what this indicator means and how it affects the USD/JPY by going to this link: US NonFarm Employment Change

The trigger for this indicator is 60. This means that if US NonFarm Employment Change comes out at 87 or better, USD/JPY will probably go up by 50 pips or more in the first 45 minutes of the report. If it comes out at -33 or more negative, USD/JPY will probably go down by 50 pips or more in the first 45 minutes of the report.

We will also have US Unemployment Rate and Average Early Earnings coming out. A deviation of 0.2 on unemployment rate is considered significant but chances are good it will not conflict. Revision is also important and a significant conflict with revision number may mute the move greatly.

Obviously, the bigger the difference between expected and actual numbers, the bigger will be the move.

To read the after-spike retracement strategy for this report click here: US NonFarm Employment Change (after-spike retracement strategy)

For example: on January 08th, US NonFarm Employment Change came out at -85, versus an expectation of 0, and USD/JPY went down by around 100 pips. See for yourself what happened by seeing this chart: Forex news trading currency exchange charts

I highly recommend you study the entire history and charts of this report by following this link: Forex News Trading | Details and History for USD Nonfarm Employment Change

I hope you make some money on this report.

Default General question - 02-04-2010, 12:41 PM

As a newbie, I find these frequent reports of much interest and have seen the movements in the market much as you predict. My problem is finding the resources to observe this information live as it is announced. GBP interest rate is easy, e.g.BBC website as it is announced.

Is it possible to prove links or channels where this info can be observed as it is announced?

For instance US NonFarm Employment tomorrow?

PS. The work you all do on FPA is absolutely brilliant and one of the very few credible sources to go to for FOREX.

Bob,

You can see it on Forex Factory, on their "Calendar" page. It will show a small rotating icon that appears a few minutes before each report that allows you to see the update as soon as it appears after the news release. However -- it is always a few seconds late. They all are. If you want to get up to the second reports a paid Bloomberg feed or something like it is necessary. Anyway your broker will widen the spread so much in the first minute or two that you won't get a good fill anyway. Carefully watch your platform to see the spread normalize if you want to jump in. You still may get screwed by the fill. It happens all the time. And demo fills are not anything like live. Be very careful! You can lose your entire account in seconds -- literally.

There are many differences among each other, e.g. Forex Factory: 10; Easy Forex: 5; Daily FX; 15... I don't know, which one of them is right?

You dont have to bother yourself over these figures, afterall, they are forecasts, and not the actual figure. Moreover, these forecasts are made by different experts.

On major releases such as this you may encounter problems with sites such as Forex factory due to the volume of users, it may crash, it has happened before.
