Lightbulb ECN forex brokers offering MT4 except MB Trading? - 04-12-2009, 05:38 AM

Looking for a ECN forex broker offering MT4 (without the dealing desk of course). Got MB Trading but would like to try another one. Any suggestions/experiences out there (anyone uses an API??)?

One thing to be careful of. A lot of brokers claim to be NDD when they really just have an electronic dealing desk (often complete with ways to apply "special rules" to profitable traders). A lot of brokers claim to be STP when they really aren't. Now, a lot of brokers claim to be ECN when they really aren't.

Verifying that a broker is truly ECN isn't an easy task. Even if they have a real MT4 to ECN bridge, these can vary in their abilities from broker to broker.

FXOpen now offers ECN/STP accounts and they are live, not just on demo!

FXOpen's ECN bridge has taken around 2 years to develop and bring into existence and and gives you access to liquidity providers such as Dresdner, SG Paris, Standard Chartered, Barclays Capital, Bank of America, CRNX, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank AG, RBS, CITI, UBS, HOTSPOT INST, HOTSPOT RETAIL, GOLDMAN, LavaFX, SWFX FX, and more.

I know it's hard to prove it is a true ECN coming via MT4, that's why FXOpen also includes LVLII information so you can see your orders and the orders of others in the ECN market and can see the liquidity available to you in real time.

Anyway, you can visit ECN Forex Trading with FXOpen broker , read more information about FXOpen's ECN/STP service and try the demo yourself if you like

I got a reply from these guys the other day and it says that they are an STP (straight through processor).

Could be worth a shot as they offer MT4.

Just updating...

ok guys, after trying their demo account, I almost open a live account with them.Pending documents sent.Then..something happen.

One forex forum members inform of spikes and bad data in prices, resulting an irregular chart displays for real live account server.
Demo account users are UNaware of this.

Lucky me!

I just tried their website. It doesn't exist according to my browser. Maybe they have been run out of town by ASIC? ASIC is strict to the extreme, like NFA on acid so I wouldn't be surprised.

FXOpen micro minimum order size is equal to 1c ($0.01) per pip. However micro accounts (and the standard account) would be on the dealing desk so are not ECN accounts
