Pretty impressed so far, demo up 23.6% in 3 weeks, live up 11% in 1 week. Can it maintain it?

I have been testing this Esox Pattern since December 27th and I have to say that I have been pretty impressed with its performance. I tested in on an XM demo account for 2 weeks first, obviously to gain an understanding of how it trades. It trades the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, USD/CHF and USD/CAD on the 30m chart. It returned 4.87% in the first week, and 4.27% in the second week. What have I learnt about how it trades?

The position sizing is based on the account size. With a $10000 account, its initial position size is 0.1 lots. From there if the market moves against the original position by anywhere from 27-29 pips, it opens another position in the same direction as the first, of 0.16 lots. It will continue to add positions every 27-29 pips in the following lot sizes if the market continues to move against it.

I have been trading it non stop since the 27th December, and this is as far as I have ever had a position move against me, however the increments are around 1.6 x the preceding position size.

The largest floating loss I have seen on demo was around 6.5% as it had multiple pairs open at once which were all moving against it. This loss was never realised as it eventually closed out all positions for a profit when the market reversed. In cases such as this it will normally close out all positions once the overall position is in profit.

From what I can understand about when it trades, it looks to open positions at key support or resistance levels, looking to capitalise on the initial push from counter trend orders waiting there. If the EA has its way, trades are usually closed out reasonably quickly for a small profit. Based on what I have seen, the typical expected pay off is around $7.00. Profit factor over the 2 weeks on demo averaged 1.58, with an average winning percentage of 72%. Absolute drawdown never exceeded $4.96, and maximal drawdown never exceeded 2.8%. The average winning trade has been around 60% that of the average losing trade.

Based on these demo results, I decided to run it on a $10000 live Oanda account. In one week my account is up 11% largely due to the markets' reaction to Trumps press conference. It appears to use some sort of momentum based logic as it will let winning trades run if there is enough volume, as there was in this case. Ordinarily however, trades are closed quite quickly.

I have to applaud this EA so far for the sheer accuracy of its entries. I am not going to give it a star rating at this point as I don't believe 3 weeks worth of testing is enough to warrant it. I will continue to run it on both my demo and live accounts and provide an update a little later as to whether it is maintaining this level of performance or not.

If anyone would like to see any of the statements for either demo or live I am more than happy to share them.

Thanks

Horrible EA'S if not the worst out there, in only few days the account went down from 13k to 100 USD. folks please STAY AWAY

I had purchased a trial version of this horrible EA based on some online reviews " good advertising " I ran the EA on my real account and for some reason it didnt work. it just didnt work for some reason and now I understand why THANK GOD !!. so I emailed the guy back and I asked what was the problem and we couldnt figure it out, the broker didnt see any error on this EA what so ever, so I said okay lets try and run it on a demo account, and it did work, the demo account had the same amount as the real account, the EA performed very good the first 2 days and the account grew a bit, I left the EA and the account open on a VPS and came back after 3 days and found out the account went down from 13k to 100 USD !!!!!!! I have the trading statement history.
I emailed the guy back and I asked him to take out his EA from online immediately or else I will expose him, I told him this is not a game and its funny to lose peoples money. that could have been me !! THANK GOD it didnt work on the real account or else it wouldve been devestating, you can not control the lot size even if you chose to from the settings, you can adjust it to 0.40 but it will take trades with over 1.x lot size at some point. it was very very devestating to see how quick the demo account was gone, however I rather lose that little money on trial version than lose thousands on real account. GUYS STAY AWAY FROM THIS EA
