SCAM.
I completely agree with Mathias. These guys work against you, and they are very skilled at that. (Requotes, Slippeage, Margin change, Exorbitant fees, interst etc.). They have the system, that works against you. What ever you do, at the end, you will be a loser.
Stay away.

they really work against the user! i totally agree with herbert! i lost about 8000€ because of slippage and changing conditions! margin form 1% to 4% at the weekend which means you cant hold positions over the weekend. so i lost 2500€ with one position! i am really angry!

positive: very good and fast platform, however no fills on the spike during news.
Your funds are secured under german law until € 20000,-
negative: minimum trading size 1Lot, therefore not advisable for small accounts and somebody who is starting with Forex
Spread for most pairs far too high. For the majors spread is o.k. if you open a bigger account, but for crosses and exotics impossible spread (even AUD/USD they have 7 pips!)

I would not call it "Scam" but after one year of experience with fxdirekt I am disappointed. They often act contrary to their promises.

When you start with a demo account they start to bombard you with telephone calls. This is very aggressive (and dumb as well. "Last week I made 100 pips! You can make that too. Easy" Etc.). They want you to open a live account immediately. I asked for having the demo account as well for longer period (normally a demo account is closed after 2 weeks or so). After a discussion they promised to keep my demo account ("But why do you want to have that demo account? You have to trade real money!"). But: (of course) they deleted my demo account! Complaints result in a promise to send me a forex book (btw: I am not that keen on it) - unfortunately/"surprisingly" it was just sold out. I am still waiting... and several complaints have not been successful yet.

Another point: They change the customer advisor each few weeks/months. This is a bit suspect to me. Something is wrong there...

Several times they stopped their mailing service with intraday trading strategies etc. (I just wanted to receive them in order to judge the quality. I do not believe in them).
They do not react on mails (it seems that they always and only react when they want you to do something being profitable for them)

They promised me to be a VIP client but then they cancelled this special service for me.

The platform is stylish but it is restricted, not stable and in my opinion not clearly arranged. And you cannot build own indicators/trading systems. Other platforms (e.g., Visual Trader) are much more flexible.

Overall,
I am absolutely not satisfied with quality and service of FXdirekt. I hope that there are better brokers/banks.

The Plattform is the only good thing at FXDirekt. They are the worst. If you submit for a demo the next day they keep calling you all the time and pressuring you to open a live account. Have testet their spread against Finex and it seems to be their signals from another planet.
STAY AWAY FROM FXDIREKT!!! Something wrong with them.

they have the best platform with integrated charts and indicators. unfortunately, even the english version contains lots of german, so rather unsuitable for non-german speakers. spreads are rather wide, tend to widen at critical times even more. spreads of major currency pairs are about x2 of what you see at Oanda. still able to make profit though, if you know, what you do. very aggressive marketing via phone, but it's easy to stop them from doing that, just let them know via e-mail. so all in all, if you are into exotic currencies, look somewhere else. there are better altenatives out there, unless you have reason to invest or keep your money within the eu or even germany. they have a rather large client base and you will get your money back. that's more, then what one can say about other brokers. wouldn't call them scam therefore.

They are really one of the worst! Permanent requotes, sometimes executing market order after a few minutes (during that time was the price first developing in my advantage and only when it was turning against me they executed). I left them after one month trading.

They are the worst. They keep calling you all the time and pressuring you into trades you don't really want to do. One time they told me "Yesterday, you could have made 100pips selling EUR/USD", so I replied "Well, I could have also incurred a loss of 100pips". The reply was, "Well, why would you close at a loss, you only close your position when you are at a profit." I always wondered why they have new employees all the time and the old ones disappear...now I know.
