hmmm...took this off the account a few weeks ago after deteriorating performance. Will have to check in with developers about recommendations, but not so good as the first few weeks...

2011-04-12 4Star This ea has great potential, I believe, though I agree with the above reviewer, .01 lots per $1000 is about right. I did this live on 14 pairs last week...awesome overall. 167 trades, account account up 20 per cent or so...set on 1% risk...which I don't quite understand as the losers were often bigger than 1%, though not hugely bigger.

I doubled to .02, and 2% risk this week, and gave almost half of the gains back in a day...

lesson: don't get greedy, stay small.

developers have been quite good about responding to email questions, and seem committed to improving the manual, which could give a lot more info to trade this profitably.

4 stars for now...may revise in the future.

This the worst EA I bought. It can blow your account. they don't want If you ask for a refund the kind of answer you will have is:

Hi,

Why is it not profitable?

We have not guaranteed money back on the robot.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

It is quite unfortunate that the account on FPA is using nearly 10 times the risk as recommended by the developer. It's no wonder the account when into such a drawdown. But, when used with appropriate lot sizes for the account balance, FX Furious consistently makes substantial profit, no muss, no fuss.

My only concern so far is that it seems to occasionally lose track of trades on my demo account, though I haven't encountered the same phenomenon live.

FX Furious is best left to it's own devices with no intervention. I made that error once, fearful of a substantial loss on my live account during a drawdown period, only to find later that I missed out on a substantial profit in the end. Except for any rare orphan trades, I now keep my hands off this robot, and my account is recovering more quickly than I'd hoped.

FX Furious more than paid for itself on its first day of trading live and has continued to impress me since. The support has been first rate, with email replies mostly within 15 minutes. Bottom line: When set up and used as recommended by the developer, with fairly conservative settings, this FX Furious has, hands down, outperformed every other robot I have acquired to date.

Oh, by the way, did I mention I'm very happy with this EA?

This is the worst EA I have bought, when they saw that their EA does not work they took the live statement out from their web page. They do not offer any refund either, because they know their EA will just blow your account and you will ask for a refund.

Please, don't buy it!!!

After learning the turn off buy/sell, i'm able to customize the direction of the robot and reduce the risk based on news and currency strength. This has helped me in building confidence in the app. I see it uses a martingale strategy, which I feel more confident in after locking in the app to the direction I believe it should go. I admire this ability to customize. With the knowledge of the strategy, I understand that it requires large margin to increase success. This is the kind of information that would help me in managing the app. I recommend this app to be mainly a semi-automatic for the greater chance of success, managing the direction of the buy or sell, with very small investments to increase available margin.

The stop loss is based on margin use pct, in the properties. It makes decent profit but requires margin management.

2011-03-31 3 Stars I saw the performance meter knocked out of the park, so I thought I'd go buy it. It was, to my disappointment, twice more expensive than the other bots, but I purchased it anyway.

So this bot has a smooth p/l gain with minimal losing spikes. However, the way it is done is that it carries a heavy P/L float. The more "rangy" the pair is, the more float you will have, and for a longer period of time. I witness this by setting it up on xau/usd, which range for days. If it's a trending one, the more success you will have. Now, the demo runs a .01 unit for a $100 balance which is not what is recommended. Instead, it is recommended at .01 units for a $1000 balance, to handle the float p/l and prevent saturated margin, but will give a 2-3% profit, instead of 20-30% as seen across multiple bot reviews.

I don't know how it handles stop losses, if it does, so that part scares the crap out of me. So, overall, it is a decent strategy, not an awfully smart bot, and risking possible margin calls for a great return. It requires trending pairs for the greatest results.
