In an earlier post, I described how I got my refund from the vendor thru Clickbank. The EA is still working till today on my system. Since I last posted, I let this EA run for 10weeks non-stop and took down the records. I did a manual backtest by evaluating my trading records after these 10 weeks, trading about 14 pairs: Eur$, Gbp$, $Jpy, $Chf, $Cad, Aud$, Nzd$, EurGbp, EurJpy, GbpJpy, Eur/Chf, Gbp/Chf, EurAud and AudJpy.

Eur$ had a 98% win rate, $Chf had 89%, EurChf had 88% and AudJpy had 92%. These were the only 4 pairs I found gave me peace of mind. There were other pairs that made 78% (gbp$) and Aud$ but when I did the math, it was not worth it.

So, I've been running these 4 pairs on my live account. AND THAT IS AFTER GETTING MY MONEY BACK. Isn't that great?

The results have been fantastic. Each one is set up to trade with one mini lot (0.10) and it achieves at least +1% each day. The Eur$ pair is the most profitable of this robot as it hardly loses a trade. It eventually does but it rarely. In a week, it loses some trades too but if I just leave it on and allow it to work on auo-pilot without adding my own manual trades, this EA makes me at least 5% per week. That isn't too bad at all.

I use the advanced version and I hope this information was helpful to someone out there. If anyone has any further information that can affirm mine, please do not hesitate to post it. All I did was just disable the EA on other pairs.

2010-10-30 1star All the information I will put on here is nothing personal against the vendor but a true experience of my use of the Event Robot.

I fell for the astute marketing and the advanced version upsell. I paid a total of 135GBP. I installed without a problem. I made sure the setting were in default and only changed my lot size on the "common" tab to 0.01 ( 1 micro lot) so I can protect my account properly. In other words, I set my account risk percentage strictly at 1% and used the Event for 28 days.

The experience was like draining oil from a car engine. The account balance kept shrinking and shrinking and I kept hoping and hoping things would change. By the time I lost 25% of the account (remember I used strict 1% risk), I decided enough was enough. Don't get me wrong, this EA will rack up 6-7x 8pips in a row and then lose 1x 70pip trade. That alone wipes out all the profit you make and more. On most days, I notice it at least makes 2 losing trades and the minimum it loses is -35 pips, the other being -70 pips. The winners come in series of +8 pips and +16 pips. With this EA, you will be lucky to break even, let alone, make any significant accruable money with it.

It is a total disappointment. I traded on LIVE account and regret it now. I asked for a refund through Clickbank and they changed my status from "Refund Request" to "Technical Support". They then wrote an additional note saying: "provide us your statements and we can then refund you..."

I found that very insulting. After boasting a no questions asked 60-day money back guarantee, here they are trying to give me a eun around. In the end, I got my money quickly, thanks to Clickbank (within 48 hrs) and the EA is still working on a demo account despite me getting my money back. LOL.

Maybe I'll use it only on Eur/Usd and monitor its progress.
Good riddance, I say. I do not recommend you buy this. It's hope less. You'll be begging to break even and get your money back.

Just an update; I've been testing this bot with different settings. I changed the stop loss settings way down to 17 and 35 and, so far, I'm going green. It hasn't seemed to make any less green trades. I'm going to play with this one for awhile I think because something in this EA is giving it the high win ratio and I think if I can tweak that puppy down to a decent stop loss level we may have a winner. Oh, and customer support sucks.

2010-10-24 07:54 2 Stars I am currently running the bot on several demo account and have the same complaints TL Watchman does with the losers wiping out the winners.

I just started demoing this robot, and so far it has been rockin'. I changed the SL to 45 and the TP to 25. That way, for every loss I am still slightly in profit after the next two winners. In one week I had 16 wins and 3 losses trading Eur/USD and Silver. Will see how it continues. I definitely suggest changing the SL to something more reasonable for the 30 min timeframe. The win rate is excellent thus far.

Running on a live demo with .10 lot size.

$196 in profit and as you see it trades on a very regular basis.

The problem is that although consistent in $16 profits, it does hit $70 losses so money management is crucial.

Got sucked in, purchased the standard EA plus the "Advanced" EA. Standard EA crashed, contacted support, no response. The Advanced EA was a constant loser, ran on demo for a month, down 5%. On a $5000 account the take profit was $8 and the losses were $35. You do the math. Contacted vendor, emails returned, website "sold out". Requested a refund from clickbank, received one with no problem. Please stay clear.

TRYING TO DOWNLOAD. MANAGED TO GET THE EVENT ONTO MET 4 AFTER TWO WEEKS HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT LOSE MONEY. TRIED TO DOWN LOAD OTHER LINKS NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. TRIED TO CONTACT VENDOR VERY, VERY SLOW GETTING BACK AND THEN INFO SHORT AND NOT HELPFUL. GIVING UP GOING TO REQUEST MONEY BACK. SPENT TOO LONG TRYING TO GET TO WORK. SALES MORE HYPE THEN ACCURATE. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I bought this robot, however I also didn't like the selling tactic as the robot is still available despite it saying it won't be (just a sales tactic to rush you so you go and buy it thinking you have made a killing).

The robot installed fine and the back testing does stand up to what they have said it does amazing in the back test up until 2009-2010 then it is more or less break even through that period. So far only had it do 2 trades in forward test, one loss one win. The losses are bigger than the wins but the wins in the back tests are more numerous. I am getting approx an 85% winrate since 1999, its defo better than any of the EAs ive made myself.

The only thing that has not filled me with confidence is that I have emailed support 3 times now and not had any reply. I don't have a problem I just want to make some sort of contact with them as the selling tactic was very much like what you would expect from a scam except the product does work and it does come with a money back guarantee.

So far so good will hopefully get some forward testing in during the guarantee period.

Installer crashed on initiation. Contacted customer support. Email bounced. Demanded refund from clickbank. Got email from vendor supplying separate link for different installer download. Haven't tried. Don't like faulty service.

I really don't know how well the robot works. I tried it, it would not run on my broker's Metatrader. It did run on my other demo, which I do not use that broker. I wrote 8 emails for help. Finally, after threatening to get my money back I received a short flippant response. I wrote back I need more info...they offered my money back.

The robot might work great. Problem, I had three winners in a row and one loser. The loser, because of the large, recommended stop loss wiped out all the money I made and then some. This happened several times. At 16 pips profit and 35-70 pip stop losses, you cannot make a whole lot of money.

I imagine the robot is fine, but the webinar deception bothers me. I joined late and did not get kicked out, yet, we're told repeatedly that 6750 could not get in. The webinars, which are not live, have run over and over again. The same questions are asked, as though we are to believe they are from the audience.

I am not saying don't buy from this guy. It may be the best robot ever. I just did not like the service or the fact the slick packaging that made it sound like if you don't buy today, you are out of luck. That's been going on now for at least 10 days.

Oh well, just some thoughts. I'm sure most people are happy. And the very expensive, so called indicators, they may be his, but one is nothing but a flat trend indicator that I have 3 of and all free, and one seems to be exactly the same as the adx crossing, which is also free.

Again, buy the product for the product's sake. Just be careful of the hype.

I may have liked it, if they would have taken the time from their selling to help me figure how to make it work on my live account.

By the way, they were excellent about returning the money. If you get yours to work and it works well, then great. This is not about staying away from buying his product...just buy it for it's sake and not the hype behind it.
