Complaint Preparation - Please Follow This Checklist When Filing the Complaint.

Before Submission:
1. Have you tried to contact the company about the issue at least 3 times over a period of at least 5 days?
Why? Many companies would gladly resolve your problem if they are given a chance to do so.
2. Have you started a thread in the Scam Alerts Folder with the name of offending company in the subject line?
3. Have you visited our review database and submited the review for the company with the explanation of your case? If the company is not listed in our database, please submit it along with your review.
Why? Because we want other traders to learn what happened to you and avoid being scammed.
4. Have you attained the rank of private on our forums?
Why? We are happy to help you, but it's possible only when all our members INCLUDING YOU are active. If you came out of nowhere to get help and going to disappear into the blue when your case is resolved, you wouldn't be of much help to other members.
5. Did this happen within the last 6 months?
We sympathize if you were scammed sometime back and just found us, but getting evidence on older issues can be virtually impossible.

If you answered positive all questions above, please gather materials that may help investigators and file your complaint

Step#1 - Initial Review.
Your complaint will be reviewed by an FPA member assigned to that task. This insures that the description really is of a scam. If so, then the Scam Ticket will go into a secured thread where you and the scam resolutions team discuss the evidence and determine next steps to try to resolve the issue. If the evidence isn't quite enough, we will suggest ways for you to get better evidence. If the case doesn't qualify as a SCAM, or there is no way to get solid evidence, then the Scam Ticket will be denied. Otherwise it moves to the next step.
Step#2 - Resolution and Recovery.
Once enough evidence is gathered, your initial complaint will be added to our reviews areas and will be marked as Pending. You will also get a publicly accessible thread where you and other FPA members may discuss the problem. Both of these will be visible to tens of thousands FPA members and sites guests. This will provide a major motivation for the company to quickly respond to your concerns.

At this point, we will help you create a complaint to the company that will explain what the problem is and what they can do to help resolve it, along with links to your complaints on FPA's website. This will also contain a reasonable deadline for action on their part. If they don't meet the deadline, then an FPA Scam Investigators try to contact the company on your behalf.

In general, most companies should decide to come to a reasonable solution when faced with a legitimate complaint in such a public web site combined with solid evidence. When they do, the complaint will be listed as resolved with additional notes added by the scam resolution team about the how the issue was resolved.
