Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

General discussions of a financial company
Hi, this is my first post on FPA. I would know something about Liberty Reserve. . Does someone use it? Is it safe? I would park 10K$ on it and transfer it later to my broker (I still have not decided about it).

I wouldn't recommend parking $10k anywhere but inside a reputable bank. Imagine if something goes wrong on an untraceable and irreversible transaction.

I agree with you. Unfortunately many things are changing in Italy, and opening a bank account in a foreign country is difficoult and tax expensive, so I was looking for a good safe system to park my money outside my country and use for it to fund my broker in the future.
Actually an international bank wire from my bank costs me 15€... :'(
Thanks for your suggestion

For $50 or $100 transactions, LR or similar makes sense. If you are moving $10k, it's a lot safer to eat some wire transfer fees.
