I invested with this company because they accept US customers and I was very happy at the beginning because it was a very useful and nice platform. I started to make money immediately and when I made my first withdraw request they stopped answering my emails and they blocked my account so now I don't have access to the live chat anymore because they blocked my IP address. They asked for my documents like Driver licence, CC, and all bank information to do the wire but they never did it. I have no way to talk to them. I emailed the Finance Department many times with no success, I also emailed Allen and Oscar the so called "Account Managers" many many times and they don't reply either. I invested 4400 dollars which were my savings of almost a year. They are scamming people specially from the US. Be careful with this Company.

I have all the emails that I sent them and all the conversations through skype.

1. Email every address you can find for OptiMarkets. Invite them to this thread and ask them to explain their actions so that everyone can see if they will fix this or not.

2. Contact the issuing bank for your credit card. Ask to speak to someone in the fraud department. Explain the situation and ask about filing a chargeback.

3. Contact the CFTC. They've already gone after another offshore binary options broker. They seem to only take action based on US client complaints, and your complaint may be the one that puts OptiMarkets on the target list.

4. File a report with econsumer.gov - Your site for cross-border complaints. They share information with regulators and police agencies around the world.

Rule #1: NEVER EVER trade with money that you cannot afford to lose. That's the basic Golden rule in forex and any kind of investment for that matter.

Sorry to hear your savings getting locked up this way. It could be that they stopped US customers (Optionrally was sending tons of emails soliciting US customers when bbinary got into the CFTC's bad books, but soon enough backtracked..) However, that isn't an excuse to return customer's funds.

I suppose you have read their T&C's and have stayed on the right side? At least that will give you some leverage to fight your case. Also have you chosen any bonuses? Most binary options bucket shops tend to use the bonus as a way to get customers and then lock in the deposit amount if the churning requirements are not met. So check up on these two first. If clear, proceed to file a complaint and do what you can do get them to refund your money.

Alternatively try a chargeback on your CC, if you have used that method.

You'd also do the greater good by opening a scam thread (with proof) here so people are aware about this.

Hi quicksilver!! Thanks for your comment. This Company is still accepting US customers. Their MO is just to try to bring as much people as they can promising a lot of nice trading opportunities so you will invest with them. They tell you that you can withdraw any time you want, even daily, and when you start making withdraw request, like in my case, they will stopped any communication. They even blocked my access to the live chat by deactivating my account. If Optimarkets stopped accepting US traders they must refund the investments to each of them, as 24 Options Company did to me when they stopped accepting Us citizens. I'm glad I did not accept any bonus they offered to me, so there is no excuse not to pay. I'm going to do everything you guys advised me here, so this Company will never scam Us customers again.

Ask a friend to pose as a new client and try to get them into chat. The the friend can tell them about this thread.

Have you filed complaints with the CFTC and eConsumer yet?

Hi Pharaoh, nice to hear from you!!! I already sent them this threat, they have not contacted me yet. I was checking yesterday in CFTC to report this case but I was a little bit confused. Once in this web site I should go to Consumer Protection right?? Then which option should I take??? File a form TCR, File a complaint form, or File a reparation complaint??? Do you know which one is the correct one?? I would appreciate if you help me with this, Thanks

Yulitacs,
The same happened to me. I opened and funded a live account with Optimarkets and as of now, I have not been able to reach anyone from this broker. The live chat doesn´t work and my emails are not answered. I can login to my account and trade but I almost sure I will never see my money again, it looks like I spent $3.300 USD for a "demo" account.
