what do you mean by volatile? gbp pairs are quite volatile, but sometimes it varies.
eurusd is the most actively traded

EURUSD and GBPUSD are the most traded.

GBPJY is generally very volatile.

If you want HUGE volatility, try some of the exotic currencies. The problem with those is that the spreads can be very large and low liquidity can give killer slippage when you are ready to exit.

Eur/Usd and GBP pairs are highly volatile and majority traders trade with this pair and earning a good and consistent profit. These pairs are risky also so trading should be done with proper money money management skills and strategies.

The percentages are debatable, but the majority of traders do not earn a "good and consistent profit" no matter what pairs they trade.
