Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Dear all,

I've read so many comments posted by so many people in regards to forex brokers.

There are so many positive and negative comments posted everywhere until I get blur reading them.

Isn't there a single forex broker which is particularly excellent in general terms?

And which comment should I pay heed to?

Please help me here as I believe that nobody wants to lose their hard-earned monies one way or the other.

Thanks in advance.

Good Luck! The only advice I could give(had about a dozen Brokers in total) is not to go with ANY Broker listed in this Forum's Scam section. I use MBT presently and they are not for everyone(I wait patiently for their MT4 release). I also use FXPro and will never fully trust them(Bucketshop-DealingDesk-difficult withdrawals and only stay because of the MT4 charts). They all have some issues it seems. What ever Broker u choose, start with small deposit-win some money-test their withdrawal procedure-and trade for "a while" before placing "real" money. At anytime they could "disappear" along with your money. This forum is littered with such cases. MBT is less than 20 minutes from my house and I havent seen the kind of BS DealingDesk BucketShop crap Im used to. Rarely does a crappy Broker get "better". :)

I reside here in Malaysia and the nearest I can see right now is Saxo Bank which has an office over there in Singapore.

What's your advice please?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Sorry girl-I dont know anything about Saxo. Y cant u open an account anywhere you want ? All are Internet based and as long as your government allows u to do business with that country, y not? I wouldnt limit myself to a Broker that is "in country". I live in USA and that is NO guarantee of funds safety. If MBT closed tomorrow, I would be out a few grand ,for sure. And they are 20 minutes from my house. I also use FXPro and they are based out of Cypress , and have been OK to this point. (only have 100 bucks in that one though). Start with small deposit and get a feel for their integrity before depositing "real"money. Good luck(and be careful)because a Forex newbee and their money are soon parted?

I'll be visiting Saxo Bank (Singapore) in two weeks' time to really see for myself and understand them thoroughly because my very first input shall be USD 20k.

I don't want to deposit my hard-earned funds into a broker which I can't visit.

Being a Malaysian, Singapore is the nearest I believe.

Does anyone have anything to say, both good and bad, about Saxo bank (Singapore) please?

Regards.

I would start out w/much smaller deposit(i have learned some very hard lessons) than 20 Large. I dont keep more than 1000. bucks in account ever. I withdrawal all profits weekly(at most) and dont consider trading profitable till that money posts in my main bank account. As a small time player, I will never trust these brokers fully.

Because you can visit them-doesnt mean anything. If they are crooked and steal your money, you are going to have to fight them legally(at least at 1st). I wouldnt limit myself to a Broker that is within driving distance. After my 5 year stint messing in this market-I wouldnt ever go with a Broker that wasnt ECN capable . There are only a very small # of these but I never worry I am being cheated by platform manipulation. I use MBT (Manhatten Beach Trading) in California as my main. 20 large into an unknown enviornment is way risky, I think. Anyway-best of luck and lots of pips. Ernest:)
