Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Do they refund your money back?

After reading through the review on some other forum, it seems that FXCM had a problem to refund your account money? Is it true?

Thanks

I disagree!

FXCM is a good broker apart from its customer care services, rest of the services are good.

I completely disagree with sam111. These crooks will chew u up and spit u out(minus your account of course). I suffered their crap for almost 3 years(my 1st 3 years in Forex) and didnt make progress until I realized my lack of successful trading might not be ALL my fault. Without a doubt they are the WORST of the half dozen or so brokers I have used. Experience the "real" Forex Market and open an account with a Broker(not a bucketshop or worse-FXCM). Especially if you trade a mini or micro account. Good luck all FXCM traders-you'll need it.

Hi sergiel,

What you should do is contact FXCM directly and ask for a login to trial the signals. There's no holy grail for forex trading out there. But you can at least use it as a complimentary source of information for your own trading strategy if nothing else.

Hi there just wondering if any of you who use FXCM as their broker use the free trading signals provided (FX + Signals). If so how have they been working for you? Profitable for the most part or hit and miss?

Thanks
Serge

Hi, I have been reading enthusiastically this website, pretty extensive!

I have an account with FXCM for a while now, and yes I have sometimes seen some incredible spread widening, have been close to the margin level but never close enough, still i have been closed for insufficient funds. i have moved my MT acc. to FXCMUK , let us see if it is any better! The spreads are advertised very low, I just wish I could actually get near them. I however have been satisfied with things like their support and the return of any profits (yes, you can make profit, but nowhere near the potential amount). I will see how FXCMUK fairs.

On another note, I noticed that ernestfinger is all over this site, and all I seem to read is negative, about any broker! Do you actually trade or are you here to warn the world of the doom of FX trading? Are you actually happy with any broker? It would be interesting to see who, and why.

I just wanted to add that for all the negative things written on FXCM, I see they still won broker of the month with ForexMagnates, also they really are blitzkrieging across Europe, and swallowing up smaller brokers along the way. Financial data shows great profits, and before anyone states "yeah they are s++++ing the clients" no one would be stupid enough to open an account with them if that was their only reputation. There must be some positive points that are getting drowned out by all the negatives.

LOL

Then put your money where your mouth is and deposit funds with them. Then in 1 month post back. :)

I am doom

U can spend your money/time any way u like Mr Cabot. When I feel someone or some company has stolen from me,thats it-game over-we are now enemies! I also believe FXCM to be one of FOREX's greatest thieves! I still trade (very small and sporadiccally ) with MBT/FXPRO.com. I am prolific only because when I trade (swing) I have time between fatherly duties to post. And I do agree I am sometimes a bit to much(loudmouth). I am also(as u can plainly see) very negative on Forex Brokers and Forex in general. I am addicted to programming and that is what keeps me IN Forex,so far. If u are interested-PM me-and I would be happy to impart my complete(yes biased)FXCM experience in detail. BTW- I hope u break your Broker, however, realize its usually the other way around with FXCM. :)

Ernest is definitely the harbinger of doom, but that's because he's had long and painful experiences with many brokers. As long time FPA members, he and I have seen so many enthusiastic newbies have their trading careers come to a crashing halt, often at the hands of an unscrupulous broker.

I haven't personally traded with FXCM, so I can't say how they compare with the brokers I use. I do like Ernest's suggestion that you give them a try and report back. Maybe you'll surprise him with some good news.

I walk in on bended knee before Ernest the wise. Ok, yes I thought FXCM UK would be the better of the evil twins, and yes you warned me! OK, this is what I have noticed. FXCM spreads are extremely tight, but because the execution is rather mediocre (and so killing off potential profit amount) it does not compare to my other broker. My other broker's spreads are not as tight, none of them in fact, but because my "2nd" broker has killer execution, the slippage is mostly very small, where FXCM may have a .5 or 1 pip better spread, their execution killed it off to so as to equal or be worse than my other broker's.
