So after years of dreaming, I decided to do it.

Speaking of going live... how are you doing? :)

I'm doing well with the live account. Had some winners, and losers, but most importantly, I've minimized my losses. Trading is a probability game, in other words, you're going to lose, that's the nature of the beast. Things that stand out most, are slippage, stop loss hunts, all sorts of new changes in the live field. The best thing to do is to try and adapt as fast as possible in this new environment, and develop new survival instincts in the market.

Seeing how I haven't blown out my account yet, I think I'm doing alright.

Hello there,

It's been a while FPA family, but I have been dealing with the realities of the world. It's been about 5 years since I was introduced to FOREX. I tried opening accounts, used EA's expecting the big pay offs, and failed lol. Played with DEMO accounts, with fake money, and the problem with that, you get accustomed to the idea that it's not your cash. The fear isn't there that you need in order to take the trading seriously. So, as of tonight, I funded my real account. I'm nervous, but I figure if I can train with real funds, it's going to increase my experience as a trader that much further.

I hope everyone has been doing well, and here's to your trading success.

Salude,

Reign

Congratulations. I hope as much as demo gave you the feeling that it wasn't your cash, you learnt something from it. Just one tip as you start off: keep your leverage low. High leverage is dangerous.

It is a great feeling to start live in forex market especially if you have practiced good by using a strategy. Starting live is never easy, its a totally different ball game as compared to demo trading.

We need to be in live market to earn money. Keep practicing in demo for long time will not get us money. We have to do some practice in live account also. I think 1 year is enough for demo account before shifting to live account.

So many years have passedm let us know how is it going ? Are you able to make any profits or minimize your losses at all ? Please provide some full reply about all that. Let's not that thread die, I love to dig something old to see how it's now going;)
