I opened an account in september 2015 with NOAFX (CMIGROUP). The 19 th january I requested a withdraw for 7196 USD.
I chatted 4 times with them and sent some emails. The 20th january they told me withdrawal will be processed within 2-3 business days; the 21th january they told me my withdrawal has been delayed; the 22th january they told me by email my request was approved and the funds "will be reached you earliest"; the 24th january they told me "the transaction is in progress"; the 25th january by chat they told me the withdrawal will be processed within this week
I read somewhere CMIGROUP(owner of NOAFX) has been deregistred from FSPR http://www.business.govt.nz/fsp/app/ui/fsp/version/searchSummaryCompanyFSP/FSP284605/26.do
I think It will never pay. It look like a big SCAM

In their website I read
<<NoaFX, as an arm of Capital Market Investments Limited, offers the following additional benefits:

  • Fully licensed and regulated as a Financial Services Provider as required under the New Zealand FSP Act.
  • FSP License # FSP284605
  • Financial Dispute Resolution scheme member>>

  • It is not true because they have been deregistred from FSP

I'm beginning to equate a past or present NZ registration as a major warning against any broker claiming it.

  1. Hi all,

Below is my lawyer's reply and please see if we can do something to get our money back:

"The difficulty, once a claim has been issued and if successful, will be on enforcement. If the broker has taken your money, then I assume that the company will have most likely done the same thing to a number of people. By the time the claim has gone through the court system, the FCA/police will most likely have shut this company down and you may be unable to recover any money, as it will have most likely been moved offshore. I would not be surprised if there are multiple claims going through the courts against the broker as we speak. The best way to enforce the judgement would be by making the company bankrupt and then appoint trustees to obtain all the bank records and start a "tracing action", which means they can possibly attempt to recover any money moved overseas if foreign banks will cooperate. "

Will we form a team of taking law actions against and share the cost of Litigation if decided to proceed?

    Chan
