MT4 acting funky

I'm not upgrading until I get a chance to set down with a Windows 10 machine and play with it for a couple of hours.

Make absolutely sure with your PC manufacturer that everything in your system is Windows 10 compliant. I've actually heard a few good things about it from some folks who purchased a new system that it came installed on. A friend who went through a similar experience to mine, purchased a new laptop for work and says he prefers it over both Windows 7 & 8. But he's STILL having problems with is desktop after reverting back to Windows 8 on his original laptop. Also, as a physician, he's finding-again-that the software he normally uses is still incompatible with Windows 10. My daughter went ahead and is keeping Windows 10 on her laptop, but lost many of her saved pictures and documents when the upgrade forced itself onto her computer one night. She also usually uses iTunes (she also has an iPhone & iPad-I taught my children well! :D), but says it won't re-install on her laptop. Luckily, her hubby successfully reverted their big gaming system and his laptop back to Windows 8 & 7. He's seriously considering going back to a MAC to use in his studies (law school). He lost most of his school stuff either in the forced upgrade or when he reverted back.
After I'm done with the studying I'm doing and get some time to really look into the drivers I'll need to get, AND, like yourself, practice a bit on 10 to get more comfortable with it-I'll think about updating the desktop. I just don't see that happening for a few months though. Right now I'm perfectly happy with my MAC, iPad and Windows 8. (And an older Windows 7 I use mainly for back-up). :)

I am now using the Windows 10 on my SONY laptop with success.

But it is not good to see that Sony made an Exit from the PC business :(

Guess I'll definitely be backing up everything first.

DEFINETELY!! But then, you *should* do this anytime you're installing a major update. AND, of course, you *should* do it regularly anyways! Unfortunately, because I hadn't had the desktop for very long before the Update was forced on my, I hadn't gotten around to backing it up. I wasn't expecting it... I STILL should have backed-up though, especially considering I'd transferred a bunch of files from my old system, (which I'd then wiped clean and donated to a local charity). I ended up losing most of those files.
It was my own mistake, and I now back-up everything at LEAST once a week-depending on how frequently I use it.

I uninstalled & reinstalled yesterday, Tuesday. At first, it was acting fine, I redrew my S & R lines, trend lines & channels on several pairs I'm watching. Everything saved just fine until earlier tonight-I opened it & once again, the charts were "naked" again AND 2 pending orders had disappeared, (there was a record of me placing them, but nowhere did it say why they'd been deleted).
Maybe my computer is still possessed.... (I've had a few problems with other programs since I uninstalled Windows 10 and reinstalled 8-BUT, those were programs I hadn't done a fresh install. My MT4 platform has been reinstalled twice since that mess)

Probably you're using old or Beta MT4 build I had this problem as well, but when I installed newest MT4 build from Hotforex it was a complete fix for me.

Very unstable on Windows 10 as my previous post. If you want smooth running, use Win 8 for another year maybe only consider to upgrade Win 10.
