Hi,
I'm a new member and this is a great service for everyone trading forex. Without FPA the scamers would rule! But even with your great service some members get badly burned. I became a victim of Zulu and InvestTechFx (30K!) and I will gladly share my bad experience with all "peacenicks". Now I need help to recover some of the money that, I believe, were lost needlessly. Would FPA consider my case even that I am just a recruit who didn't have enough time becoming a soldier? Is there a speedier way how to attain the rank? If there are no exemptions, please let me know who would be able to help me. Long Live FPA!
Best regards,

Don't submit to blackmail. Tell them you will leave a followup review AFTER the money arrives, not before.

Stand up when your shot, keep fighting

Welcome to FPA.
If you have been abused you will write worth while posts about it quickly and have 10 posts in the time requirement. The rules are there for a reason.

“Moving from Recruit to Private is easiest. You need to have been a member for 2 days, and to have made 10 useful posts. To reach PFC will take you 25 days and 25 posts. Corporal requires at least 50 days and 70 posts. Finally, to make Sergeant will require at least 85 days and 120 posts.

I too have been wrestling with Investtechfx. I have had several conversations with "Alan" who claims to be working "on behalf of Investtechfx" and always leaves a phone number that looks up to a Rogers Communications number in Toronto, Canada (where Investtechfx claims to be based), but that number forwards to a wireless number in Florida, U.S.A. (also the number he calls from).

My experience has been similar to others...
- 1-pip spread for all trades
- $10/lot "scalping fee" for all trades, even non-scalp
- Account frozen the moment a withdraw request was made
- Claimed I used "unauthorized EA's" and that my trades would all be cancelled
- Later claimed that my profits were so high that I have "found a hole in the system" and they are investigating (with more stalling).
- Gave me 3 offers:
1) Return my initial deposit and I go away without any profits.
2) Continue to wait while my account was "under investigation"
3) Discuss the issue with their "insurance company" to see if an alternate offering could be made.

It seems to me that they are walking a fine line trying to appear as legitimate as possible, in order to continue with their scamming of profits from customers, but this is just from my dealings with them so far.

If I do not receive my deposit and profits shortly, I will post a scathingly poor review of them, with all details, timeline, of my experience with Investtechfx.

Who knows, in exchange for my $5,000 initial deposit and 1 month of sleepless, tireless, meticulous trading, perhaps I will get the satisfaction of seeing them as SCAM candidate for 2010 on these forums :)

Good luck everyone !

Scam broker

Forex brokers should be checked thoroughly before opening an account with them. I usually read reviews from various sources in addition to the company's credentials. Also certain EAs are not allowed by some brokers.
