Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Has anybody heard of recovery lawyers.net? They have replied to me and say they can are confident of recovering my scammed funds within 60-90 days. They all sound Indian and although I havent found any proof they are scammers, I cant find any proof they aren't. No reviews or anything. Anybody know anything?

I have asked and been told they can't let me see any proof or anything...all seems a bit fishy to me but you want to believe. Nobody has social media profiles and their addresses are shady. Also all their emails and chats are in very poor English...'Indian english"

"Indian English?"

Do you know "India is the second largest English-speaking country in the world. The number of English speakers in India is second only to that of the USA. English is one of the 22 official languages of India, and the joint official language (along with Hindi) of the Central Government".

Why I shared?
Because I am an Indian :)

Now come to question, they are legit or not?
I always suggest everyone to "do not send money to anyone in the name of recovering your funds". In this case, you may lose more. If they are able to recover your funds without any upfront then you can give try to anyone BUT if they ask money then you can run AS FAST AS YOU CAN and save your funds.

I have no issue with India or Indians. My issue is with a law firm who don't communicate professionally in "the queens english". Unfortunately in today's world, communication counts for a lot as do first impressions and writing in incorrect English does not breed confidence. As for fees up front....I wish someone would work on a no win no fee basis but I have never found anyone however I am beginning to think all recovery companies are as shady as the scammers and not worth an extra loss.

Chargeback is one of the good option :)

Chargeback is really your only option unless you lost $250K+ and have resources for an aggressive international case.

To actually find where the funds/people are, you'd need a private investigator to track it all down... THEN, you'd need a lawyer to actually sue those people... then, if you won, you'd have to actually collect your judgment. A trial process like this would never cost under $100K unless you were pooled with tons of other investors contributing to the legal costs.

The claims these "recovery rooms" make are just nonsense. The companies in St Vincent, Vanuatu, can't just be sued and levied the way you can sue a local business in a small claims court setting. I'm sorry. :(

Sadly I've come to accept you're right. £55k down the drain. I'm just astounded there are these "lawyers " making these claims...I think it's just as disgusting.

The say they've recovered millions of dollars, but the recoverylawyers.net domain name was only created on January 24, 2018.

The images above their testimonials are "borrowed" from other sources.

They say they are part of "International Lawyers Affiliation". A quick google search shows no information about this claimed organization.

Invite them here. Ask them to provide evidence of licensed lawyers and law firms. If they can't, this is just another recovery room scam designed to steal more money from desperate victims.
