Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

Mychargeback

Although MCB are trustworthy, they have very slim chances of winning anything as all the other side has to do is respond. The banks dont want to take on these cases and at the end of the day they are the ones who decide if they do a chargeback and a second chargeback at all. Id say anyone would be lucky to get anywhere with it after having gone through it all and got nowhere.

Thanks for the heads-up Domski - I'm sorry your case wasn't successful. I've spoken with Rami from mychargeback who seems to think I have a strong case. I'm about to submit the information to winchargeback too, to see what they reckon to it.

Yeah, it sucks! I did the same and now WInchargeback just forwarded my case to Giambrone Law. They sounded dodgy from the off and as I am in London I asked to go in and have a chat face to face to suss them out...They wanted a fee for this!! To me thats an immediate concern. What lawyer wants to charge a fee for a potential client?? Instead I got a call from a case handler. In all honesty it filled me with more concerns and now that these guys are out of Israel and underground again, they are not responding to letters or making out of court settlements I have been told. With this in mind, the £2500 fee is going to be the first payment and when that comes to nothing, the only option will be to instruct lawyers for a court case which will cost thousands......I'd be very careful.

I'm being as careful as I can given the snake pit I seem to have got myself into...
I hear you and its something I hope one day I will not let hold me like it is now. I am £44000 out of pocket an trying to rebuild my life but my advice is mentally drawing a line under it, accepting it and moving on. I personally dont think all of these firms are scammers but I do think they are selling a dream that cant be had. I hope I am wrong for others' sakes but if I let it rule me it will kill me and I am sure I am not alone.

I used Mychargeback in a complicated case that involved two different credit cards and two different banks. I was amazed by their professionalism and honesty and finally did get my money back. But when things don't go as planned, it doesn't mean it's their fault. My banks (and apparently most banks) are not your allies in this. They are taught to be skeptical of consumers in order to protect their big corporate clients, who get hit often by chargeback requests and are simply more important to them. This is why you need a professional service like MCB to lobby for your case. They can do that because they know the chargeback rules and regulations much better than the bankers do. I joined them in numerous calls to one of my banks and they literally boxed the bankers into a corner until they said "uncle" and agreed to process my request. Also keep in mind that chargeback requests have to be filed before a certain cut-off date (forgot when that is, but they can explain it to you). Other wise you have to apply for a bank recall and that can take longer. Good luck!

hey there is a website called mychargeback.com .. it is trying to help me recover funds .. is it reliable ? plz help ASAP
SAeveral of us have had a conversation with Nathan. he sounds very efficient and will promise you the earth - but for an enourmous fee - and you have to pay up front for the service. Have you noticed MCback has no address - and won't tell you who they bank with.My solicitor is convinced it's just a scam - you pay $800 or so with no real hope of recovering your money. What they are trying to do is persuade your visa card or bank etc to make a charge back - they won't. They say trading is like a gambling bet - and they only provide the money as a service. Go to the CAB and tell them what happened if it's a lot of money - you will probably qualify for an IVA agreement - and welcome to the cfd suckers club - i'm a member. Hard truth is you have lost the lot. None of them can be traced and they won't pay up. you have been playing a video game i'm afraid.

If you take a look at their website you'll see their address in Cedarhurst, New York, USA. Having been told by my own attorney that I'd have to your solicitor that he's the scam. I got my money back. No one has to convince Visa to get your money back. That's not the way the process works. You first have to convince the bank that gave you your charge car that you have a case, and then they forward the dispute to the scammer's bank. The scammer then has 30 days (it used to be even more) to reply if it's Visa. If he doesn't you automatically win your case. If he does reply, Mychargeback will draft a point-by-point reply that in my case convinced his bank to fork over my money.

For the the opposite happened even though the facts stood out clearly. Do you mind me asking what country, bank and how long ago?
