Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

How did I make money here? Snap80 and IQ Option

Hi all

I recently started CFD trading using the platform IQ Option. I quickly learned this wasn't the platform for me because they have been known to keep people from withdrawing their money, as I experienced myself (only a delay, luckily).

While exploring and trying out new platforms like IG Group and now CMC Markets, I got the feeling that the way I made profits on IQ Option shouldn't be possible (see attached file).

Here you can see a sell position I opened on Snap Inc. about a week ago, where I made 80,-. But what I don't understand is how the IQ Option opening price for my position is the same as the closing price the day before (9,89), while the NASDAQ opening price was set at 9,29.

Is this possible with other trading software as well? It was my belief that you wouldn't be able to complete an order at the previous day's closing price if the after-hours and pre-market have already changed the opening price for the next day, or am I mistaken? Is it possible for such an order to actually go through?

Sorry if this answer is very obvious and I'm missing it completely, or if I posted this in the wrong forum. I just don't want to have false hopes after having earned some money this way. Thank you in advance.

Why trade Binary Options? It's coin flipping and eventually you will get on a bad streak and blow your account. It's inevitable.
Stick to Forex and Cryptocurrency. Still enormous risk but actual markets behind them that are possible to yield massive returns.

Thank you guys for your replies. I was not talking about binary options. Not only can't I trade those in the EU, but they also don't peak my interest.

I've attached two screenshots of trades of similar nature. As you can see in the pictures the positions opened about one or two minutes after market open, but at the price the stock closed at the day before. How can this happen? Is there someone who sells his/her shares at that price and I just get lucky? That hardly seems possible...

I am never trading on binary option because I am also ever reading the certain article which said if a binary option is a haram in Islam, so I stay away from these kinds of business and only focus with forex now
But if reading your experience, I think broker want you to losing money and maybe you will only waste money there
