Hi mate,
IMO, election is always additional risk for the party that has majority in Parliament (although BJ doesn't have a majority). As Brexit process is still underway and will be postponed on next year, I suppose this combination of early election and uncertainty of Brexit result will negative for GBP, at least until election results.
If, indeed, the BJ bet will work, I suppose he tries to get majority due real progress in Brexit negotiations - rally on GBP could continue. If not - collapse will be become stronger.
That's being said - first stage is election approvement and Brexit postpone will be negative for GBP. Second stage mostly will depend on elections result.
