FXP Markets - Handed over more than 21,000 Euros...and now they've disappeared

Hi all,

I’ve read the various posts on the site regarding FXP Markets, a company that disappeared near the end of last year, their registered company address now closed permanently, their website inaccessible and their telephone number now reallocated to a fast food restaurant.

My main contact early on was John O'Neill (johno@fxpmarkets.com), he was my contact in 2017, slick and personable. He handed me off to Jake Matthews (jakem@fxpmarkets.com) and I spoke with Leopold Heisenberg (leopoldh@fxpmarkets.com) as well. Like others I’ve read, they constantly called and sent emails on new investment opportunities, updates on existing trends, etc, it looked like a good service.
  • November 10th, 2017 - I sent FXP Markets £500 via a credit card to open a GBP account. At the time I was given access to an MT4, saw my trades via a trading app, it all looked pretty legitimate.
  • December 7th, 2018 - I opened a Euro account and sent an additional 2,225 Euros to Kbh Andelskasse bank, to the company ‘UPC Consulting Ltd, Company Reg: 10789505, 30 St Mary Axe, London, England, EC3A 8BF’.
  • It seems so obvious in hindsight that sending money to any company other than FXP Markets was a red flag, but I still had access to my account, constant access to my personal trader. Things were looking up!
  • March 21st, 2018 – I sent 11,273 Euros to take advantage of a number of new opportunities, my account flush with recent successes. I sent the money via Unicredit BulBank to ‘Planeta-2015 Eood, 7 Sveta Nedelya Sq, Sofia, Bulgaria, Postal Code 1000’.
  • July 12-16, 2018 – I sent another 10,000 Euros to CFM Solutions Eood, 5 Varbitsa Street, 1504 Sofia, Bulgaria via Bulgarian-American Credit Bank.
You may look at this history and wonder ‘how on earth did he think this was legitimate!’. This was all the money I had, I even dipped into my credit card to begin with because I thought this could be a scam...but John O'Neill, Jake Matthews and others spent a lot of time convincing me, providing advice, I had an MT4 account, they called with updates. By the end of 2018 I started getting worried that my emails and phone calls were not being answered. It's like they simply disappeared!

It was only in February 2019 that Richard Hastings (richardh@fxpmarkets.com) finally responded, offering his ‘sincerest apologies’, saying that there had been a restructure. But even Richard's contact was intermittent and frustrating, and he disappeared shortly thereafter, though we spoke on the phone about the status of my account and my desire to withdraw a few times.

I then spent the summer trying to contact FXP Markets (info@fxpmarkets.com and support@fxpmarkets.com) until later the website went down, the phone number cancelled and email accounts sent back undelivered.

I sought legal advice in May 2019, but the PAMM contracts that I and others had signed were so watertight that getting anything back seemed unlikely. Liability seemed to fall to the traders themselves and not FXP Markets directly.

If the trades occurred and there were losses, just show me the evidence. While losing the money would be terrible, I can’t even put these trades as losses against my taxes because I need evidence of the trades! So I’m BOTH out of pocket AND I cannot claim the losses (assuming the trades ever occurred in the first place).

Ideally, I’d like to speak with someone that was in charge of FXP Markets to understand what happened to my trades, if there is any money left in the accounts, and to withdraw what is remaining. But though I have been naïve, I’m not so naïve now to assume anything would be forthcoming.

It'd be great to get a Trader's Court opened. I’m more than happy to join any effort to take this matter further, should I get no joy with FXP Markets directly.

Hope you can help.

Ray
