I have used alibaba during its early years when it also felt like a scam website, but now it's a global name - So short of withdrawing all the money in the account, my dilemma is what else can I do to check the legitimacy of the website and if it is a scam? It seems like a lot of hassle to create a trading platform to scam people? Also, the site URL changes relatively frequently which is a major red flag to me, but then if it's a scam, why bother to tell "users" the new URL?

I can't help you with your first question, since I didn't put any money there.

As for your second question, you've already answered it. Just try to stop trading and fill out a withdrawal form. Just say you need the money for a family emergency and see what happens. Make sure to come back and let everyone know.

As for the ever-changing URL, complaints may be getting some of their domains closed. If they don't notify new people who are about to make deposit of the new domain, they won't be able to collect the money.

I tried the demo account and I can say that I was satisfied.
My “girlfriend,” “friend” Lee advised me to invest $ 4,500 and she $ 3,000 into my trading account and I accepted.
After 2-3 days I saw on my trading account that it has $ 7500. Until then, everything functioned normally and without problems.
Before I started trading some suspicion was born in me and I decided to withdraw my invested money, i.e. $ 4500.

Now the first problem arises.
There are two variants of returning money directly to my bank account in Sweden and another variant, The wallet address.

Custmer service advises me that if I use a direct transfer to my bank account that I will then pay some fees in Swden and if I use The wallet address that the fees are not paid and that the whole process takes 2 hours. I agreed to that and then with the help of customer service I had to open another trading account code

From that trading account with Huobi, my customer service withdrew all the money of $ 4,500 to my bank account in Sweden.
He said it would take a few days. That's the last I heard from customer service.
The money never arrived in my account.
Customer service does not read or reply to my messages.
My so-called girlfriend doesn’t read or reply to my messages.
All links I received from customer service during registration and downloading of the trading application have stopped working.
The trading app on my phone still exists but my trading account has been deleted and no longer exists.
I would like to know if anyone has had similar experiences with yoyoforbaby.com

There are loads of chinese people hanging around the dating sites just trying to do this. i have come across atleast 3-4 after this incident. Beware of any crypto currency else we lose everything

sir LT2020 if you are talking about the yoyoforbaby website then please do refrain of sending any money and report it to HK police immediately as the case is been filed and I exchange emails regularly with cyber crime police in HK with the details I have about them please do the same if you have any details

the lady whose pics were attached initially on the thread was same lady I’ve met and she named her as Chen yan ping and introduced me to Fiona who was pretending to be yoyoforbaby customer service lady opened on same number.

also making you aware there is another website floating around which is excbitc.com

this lady forces for you to invest in the crypto pretending her uncle runs the business and she knows all internal secrets of when the crypto value goes up and down and when to invest then she says if we invest will help getting internal secrets of business so we can double the money please please do not make a mistake what we made these Chinese ladies/guys are everywhere holding this silly websites making us pay hard earned money then going offline

mine is a different lady and I’ve actually been talking for 7-8 months with her.
it’s an incredible piece of bare faced lies. Because I was convinced she was real. I’ve been calling her all hours when she was at work in her office, to her home and on nights out. I’ve spoken to her friends, sister and seen family children.
Why would she do all that to scam for a few grand. It doesn’t make sense.
I won’t invest anymore here, thank you for you advice and I wish you every success in the future.

I can confirm that yoyo-ex.com is a scam, as claimed here.
I can also confirm the modus operanidi: meet the girl on an online site, she gains your trust, claims to be wealthy (soon going to manage her father's company) and then starts suggesting you invest in PDM (or some other asset) doing so via this yoyo site. She puts you in contact with "customer service".
The price is fake. The market manipulated.
It's a scam.
