We have Canadian Employment Change coming out. It is expected to read 22.5. Last month it read 24.7.

I recommend trading USD/CAD for this report.

The trigger for this indicator is 22.5. This means that if Canadian Employment Change comes out at 45.0 or more, USD/CAD will probably go down by 40 pips or more in the first 45 minutes of the report. If it comes out at 0.0 or negative, USD/CAD will probably go up by 40 pips or more in the first 45 minutes of the report.

We will also have Canadian Unemployment Rate coming out. A 0.2 deviation on it is a significant deviation but the good news is typically they don't conflict each other.

Obviously, the bigger the difference between expected and actual numbers, the bigger will be the move.

I love reading all this information and would love to get back into my trading, but have a new MAC OS computer and cannot find a trading platform compatible. Any suggestions??

You will struggle, the only way around it i have found is to purchase & install 'bootcamp' software, which allows you the choice of booting up in OSX or windows (you have to install windows OS too). As long as your mac runs on a dual core intel processor, you should have no problems and can then use any windows or mac software, so worth the extra expense.

Is there a news service that gives you up to the moment reads on these economic indicators just as or slightly after the report comes out?

Please Tell, if the trigger is not activated but the change is still in the favourable direction then in that case how to anticipate the intensity of the move .
I think the pair still moves but the intensity is a bit less as compared to its movement if the trigger is hit.

Question about trading news

Hey Guys;

How do you recommend entering the trade? Do you do a trailing stop? Or do you just set a regular stop and take profit? What risk / reward ratio do you use for this kind of news trading?

Input would be appreciated.

i am using mac myself... just use bootcamp... dont use parallel or fusion.. it eats up ur cpu usage...

What's wrong with Parallels? It works great for me, and the CPU usage is almost non-existing, especially if you just use it for trading.

I run up to 10 platforms on one computer, and I do news trading no problem - under Parallels.
