Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

    More info coming soon.

General discussions of a financial company
I've posted several positive reviews for this course, mostly because it really fit my trading style well and provided a platform and confidence that I needed. But, that said, there are a few complaints I would like to mention and see if anyone else has noticed this and agrees.

First, in all the time I participated in his Platinum Trading Group I never ever saw him place a trade. He never entered, exited, or managed an ongoing trade. He never recomended an exact entry or exit, and barely mentioned the importance of trade managment. All he did was very generalistic chart analysis, and very basic Elliot Wave analysis. Nothing wrong with this, it does work, but like his Organic Breath Of The Market discs where he analyzes the Guppy averages, he has a tendancy to claim profitable trades where none exist. If you go through these discs, where he spends an entire dvd backtesting the Guppy averages, he often claims profits based on the moving averages, with little regard for the actual price, and the price one might have actually been able to get in or out at.

The Schubert Accuracy Method does work very well, and when combined with the understanding provided from Elliot Wave analysis, it can get one in and out of some of the best moves, as can the Guppy averages if used in the same manner.

In spite of any of these complaints, I can not possibly give this course anything but the highest rating. The information he has collected is excellent, and the course and webinars improved my trading and chart reading enormously. Its just that this stuff is no secret, and once you know it you find it is available elsewhere, often for free.

Try ElliotWave.com's free club membership, the basic Elliot Wave tutorial and their onging e-mails for a more in depth understanding of the principles. And basic understanding of trading with moving averages and Bollinger bands is widely available in many trading books.

I found out on his twitter account (@scottshubert) that he started doing some forex video analysis. I've read a couple of comments on his website forextradingseminar.com that his analysis is helping a lot of traders. I hope he continues to do more analysis regarding that.

I read the email that he sent out that he has opened the trading group again, is that true? But you have to purchase the course to get in? I saw some of the analysis that he made and it was really helpful.

I saw the same message. I dont believe the Platinum Webinars were ever really closed. This is just to promote some renewed interest. If you bought the new course it includes 3 months of webinar time, and you can easily extend that for $299/month. If you have the time to view the entire course and attend both webinars, London and US sessions, it can really speed up your knowledge and understanding of both the Forex market and general chart reading. I was a bit slower than that, and struggled with the scheduling, but I still found it extremelly useful.

I still use these methods, I've integrated them into all my trading, in different markets. I still review the discs occaisionaly. This basic aproach to understanding and trading the markets works with just about anything, on any time frame. I use it constantly in my stock and option trading, following newsletter recomendations, and analyzing the index's, and also in my Forex trading. It also integrates very well with other methods of trading.

I highly recomend this course. Probably the best purchase I have made in the Forex, or any other market.

Mr. Shubert abandoned his children in America to teach trading from the Philippines. His children go hungry in America while he lives life harmoniously in the Philippines...Mr. Shubert while being a brilliant FOREX trading teacher is also a dead beat dad who abandoned his children....brilliant but not honest...not in the least. If and when he begins to support his children again....I will remove this post.

Did you know his children are abandoned and hungry in America while he teaches forex from the Philippines...a dead beat dad. He may be brilliant in teaching FOREX but he is not honest. If and when he begins paying his child support I will remove this message...

BS

No I didnt know this, and I tend to disbelieve you. You are an unknown. You just joined the FPA yesterday and this is the first and only posting you have made. You seem to be here for the sole purpose of discrediting Scott Shubert. If what you say is true you need to show some proof, or you are just another FPA clown who's had trouble trading and holds a grudge, or perhaps you are the the mother and think Scott has money and you want more. However, from what I have seen Scott Schubert is honest and conscientious, and I have no reason to believe you. If he has abandoned a child without support I would be surprised.

If these accusations are true, I'd like to see some links to the court rulings. If they are false, the FPA isn't the place to post wild accusations.

How would you have me prove it? Ask the man. He has a 15 year old daughter named Thecla that I support. An odd name...ask him how he came up with it. At this point he is nearly 100k behind in child support, has no contact with his children, sends 1k a month that doesn't cover food and gas much less rent. Mr. Shubert wrote the divorce contract and the judge signed it. he owes $3500 a month to his children by his signature. I would not be mentioning this except for the fact reputation is the only thing this sociopath has at this point. Colorado child services is worthless. They attach his bank account...last year...$258. Paid for a week of food...then next year the same. He has a pass port but the state wont take it without the feds and the feds wont take it without the state. Catch 22....so this is my method of placing pressure on the man. It will get worse because my retirement has run out...we are broke and I have nothing to lose.
