I received a friend request on Facebook from a woman I did not know. I chatted a bit, eventually we ended up on WhatsApp, it was flirty now and then.. Long story short, eventually i learned she had an uncle, he was going to retire soon, he was helping her make money in Forex and she invited me to participate. So far, all of the hallmarks of a romance scam. She points me to MetaTrader5, walks me through setting up a demo account selecting Macking Financial Ltd as my Forex partner. At no time des she provide a single link - I researched both Met5 and Macking on line, doing searches. Met% came from the app store, Macking was selected through Met5 while setting up both a demo and areal account. She walked me through a demo while she was live working with her uncle, it was profitable. I set up a very small real account - about $3,000, we got that to about five in two real transactions. I added to my deposit to bring it to about $20,000. On the next event, I ended up with at $28,000. So far so good. The next event I ended up with a significant margin call while she made out very well. In all cases, I followed her direction - currency choices and lot amounts. Macking sent an email demanding payment on the margin call, threatening a law suit. I responded that it was going to take me at least ten weeks maybe 12 to clear the call. The communications were very brief, the english was so so, and they accepted my payment plan without any threat of interest or penalties pretty quickly - about two days, done over the weekend. The first part of this seems It feels like a romance scam...except I was not provided any links to set anything up - I was told Met5, got it from the App store and from there selected Macking Financial from within the app. Both institutions/products are legitiamate as far as I can tell. How could this be a scam? I'm looking for how the party that led me to my financial disaster makes any money off of this. Thanks for any insights. And yes, I know that I was an idiot in every step of this...

In total I deposited about $20,000, that grew to about $29,000, then I lost all of that and incurred a $101,000 margin call.

I am using MetaTrader 5 as an app on my phone. The Forex site it is linked to is Mackingforex.com. Emails I've received include the embedded domains:

The Girls name it's Anna?,I'm doing aswel în that story

I'm very sure that this is scam.
Do not deposit any more money to them.

This brooker does not have any license to operate in forex in the first place so they are confirm a group of scammers trying to scam more money out of you. You can check their license in this link.

For now I recommend you to quickly report to your local police ASAP and was your money send to them by bank? If so quickly report to your bank as well and pehabs you still have some chance to recover some back.

I am very sorry to hear that. In this business, there are more scammers than real traders. Thus, it is best not to get involved or depended with others. I hope you will be able to cover your loss soon. Thanks for sharing your story here. I am sure it will help many of us here.
