I successfully got my money out of HKEXpro! I did not want to have money sent to my bank, as I didn't want to give up that information, so I had it withdrawn and sent to my coinbase app, via bitcoin. The funds were frozen for about a day, but ultimately got my money off of that platform.

Was the withdraw small, say a couple hundred dollars? It is common they will let you withdraw a very small amount to try and make the platform look real. If you try to withdraw more than $300 they will not let you do so.

Ok, but why my bank? Coinbase is legit, right? I was lured to send usd to coinbase, to buy ETH, then transfer ETH to the HKEX app.

Hello Steve Plummer33.
You can report to Coinbase but they won’t do anything about it. They will close down your account and reverified you. It’s best to go thru with your bank institution.

Interesting. One of the banks I used to send cash to coinbase, closed my account because they didn’t want any association with crypto of any kind.
But any bank which honors a wire to coinbase has fulfilled their obligations, because I successfully purchased ETH. Is this correct? How can a small bank follow the subsequent transaction to a third party trading app? Sorry, I just don’t understand,, hence how i was duped,

It depends on your Bank’s policy and regulations. Were you able to make any withdrawals from HKEX?

As soon as I tried to withdraw, they said I needed to pay tax first… this I refused to do. Now the app crashed, and cannot seem to be reinstalled…
