Welcome FPA mate, let me know if we can help you with anything :)

Nice to meet you here, Greg. Actually, your strategy is cool, I like it, especially if you're fond of long-term trading and investing. I can also advice you to check the news and economic calendar in order noto to miss vital information for your deals. Sometimes, there are some unpleasant events and situations in our world, which force us to reduce the risks and close the positions without any profits. Fortunately, we face such situations not so often, but we have to be ready for them. Moreover, as investor, you can also read information about technical analysis, becuase sometimes it also can be very useful for you, at least if you haven't acquainted with it.

Hi, I try trading by the news, but problem with execution in time of news is too big for me. I have currently 9 strategies, still working for new, but thank you for tip :) Regards Greg

Hello greg and welcome. Iv never used an ea myself but few people I know have done, some have been profitable, others not so. How do you rate yours?
9 strategies in place sounds like a lot of time spent at the charts, what are you applying?
I use my own poorly constructed methods that seem to work, combining pvsra, market maker method and an ema strategy I find a pretty consistent way to scalp small term movement whilst longer term and larger movement unfolds. As I'm more a part time trader I prefer a scalping and short term day trading approach but obviously overall analysis gives me a potential bias of longer term direction so my long term swing trades tend to be leftover partial positions iv left run from entries at and around historical support/resistance, Being risk free from my perspective having taken some profit, or sometimes i will take on the higher initial risk on an entry if and when I feel its suitable to do so. But overall risk is allways a strong consideration before any execution, so still only taking on 5% risk opposed to my usual 1%-2% in these instances but they are a rare and infrequent.

Hi, I am using EA's, so my work is to supervise EA's on VPS server, mainly checking "is everything is ok" in business day. During the weekend, I carry out "system maintenance", restart the server, check the profitability of the strategy, that is, such technical matters, I also have more time to create new strategies and market research. Market is changing, evolving, so I want to be prepared for this changing ;) .
How you decide when your strategy should be turned off and replace to new one?
