About to turn 18 passionate about learning to trade and becoming profitable with it. Would love to have knowledge shared with me any YouTube videos, advice you wish you could have shared with your younger self starting out, books, website anything in general for someone with a fresh mind and complete newbie like me please share thank you.

Start from some simple approaches like S/R, breakouts, pullbacks trading and other popular price action strategies and then pick one that looks most promising and start to dig deeper. Practice often offers most insight and helps to achieve steeper learning curve.

I don't know any good YouTube videos because I find it hard to trust creators. I have heard a lot about Inner Circle Trader though, just be careful - I've heard many people say they found it very useful but I've heard a lot of negative reviews too, claiming he's not an actual trader and his mentorship program is scammy.

My favourite sources for learning have been the following:
  • Forex Military School
  • BabyPips online course
  • Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom by Van K. Tharp (the best book for beginners in my opinion)
  • One Good Trade by Mike Bellafiore (he focuses mostly on stocks but I think it's still useful if you trade other assets, too)

My 2 cents is that ICT isn't taking people on anymore into anything paid and is doing a new free course on his YouTube. Try it out and see how YOU see things. Either it helps or it doesn't. Same goes with other courses. But if he isn't charging for the info then you aren't being scammed.

Great time to get into trading, I wish I had started that early. I was too busy in the pub. Babypips is a great starting point. Also, most brokers offer a demo account so you can practice trading without the financial risk. Good luck to you.

I would start on YouTube looking at different setups. I work better seeing something rather than reading though

Ah, I didn't know that, thanks for correcting me.

Agreed with you however since those who spot the benefits from any mentor sings their songs while others usually claims grapes are sour. So it is up to us how we grab and utilise the resources available around us.

Oh yeah for sure. But as with any mentor it's not enough to just take them at their word. Test it yourself as they won't be trading for you. And if they say they will be, then it most likely IS a scam ;)
