Resolved: ICMarkets withholding withdrawal of funds

Hi there,

this is my first post here. I've been with ICMarkets for years and never had any issues until now. On the 11/10/2022 I requested a withdrawal of my funds onto my bank account. So far the status of my withdrawal is still marked as "processing". This never happened to me before, withdrawing funds has been working like a charm in the past and never had any issues.
I did contact their accounts department but their response was absolutely not satisfactory, they've not provided any reason as to why the withdrawal is delayed. Instead I have received a copy and paste answer stating that my withdrawal request is subject to additional review and it has been forwarded to the finance department.
The online chat isn't helpful at all, all they do is ask you to get in touch with the accounts department, but the accounts department can't explain to me why there is a delay.

Would be great, if you could tell me how to proceed.

I guess this is happpenig because of the amount is more than 50k, You should wait for their email or call them to get an instant reply.
 
Thank you for your reply, I think that might be it. Nevertheless, ICMarkets could have told me the very reason why it takes so long, instead they prefer to keep their clients in the dark. I'll keep ypu posted.

Happened to me about 2 weeks ago. Withdrawal took about 24 hours longer than normal. Absolute non event.
What was the amount you were trying to withdraw ? My highest amount in the past was 11K and it went through immediately.
 
They ran into problems with the Neteller withdrawals - dunno whether it was technical or empty wallet and don't really care. They wrote and offered bank wire, followed by this review. It was a bit annoying bacause I'm used to better from them, but at the end of the day I don't suspect anything underhanded and I got my money after a couple of days, so nothing to lose sleep over.
 
They ran into problems with the Neteller withdrawals - dunno whether it was technical or empty wallet and don't really care. They wrote and offered bank wire, followed by this review. It was a bit annoying bacause I'm used to better from them, but at the end of the day I don't suspect anything underhanded and I got my money after a couple of days, so nothing to lose sleep over.
I guess Neteller has a daily limit set, that's why :)

Had a similar issue with Skrill, had to wire money in chunks.
