Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.

Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"

Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"

Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"

Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.

For EUR/GBP, overnight range start 21:00, end 08:00

If you eyeball the last month (Jan) you will see it's a good pair to trade.

I've had the EA running on demo for several months without a hitch, so I wonder what could be causing your problems?

Hey,
Thanks aztrades for your results posting, I'm still checking what's new here.
I see that you're running 1min daily for many months and would like to ask you - are you profitable with it?
I see that there is more win to loose trades yearly, but these numbers are so close... I have checked that you can have yearly around 160-170wins to 130-140losses. This sounds not-so-bad, maybe you can make constant profit. But if you are with some good broker, probably ECN, you pay provision, spread and sometimes trades have worse ratio than 1:1 (for example sometimes news release is triggering trade enter, there is big spread and if you win, you win less, if you lose, you lose more). So I wonder if you can make money with it. Are you entering always strictly with rules, also, what is your broker, do you think this broker is good for 1min daily?
I'm asking because I see that one man from zulutrade that is running this fore some months is not profitable (1min daily team gave us link earlier in this thread).

Thanks!
and wishing you all constant profits, nevermind which system you trade

In the latest few months, the USD/JPY has performed well while GBP/USD stayed in range providing no profit. Both pairs traded together produce a profitable system.

Wishing you success!

.I started trading 5yrs ago until i begin to appreciate this system. i never got full understanding. Here is the way i trade UKGDPyesterday and about 4 others in a month. Set sellstop and buystop at least5mins using 30min chart b4 the release with about 20pips away from d pre-relaese price. So it does not matter where it goes my profit is 99percet certain if anybody haveear let him ear or continue to loose.. This system take u ahead of others because some of the event that i use it to trade does not retrace in most cases. So if u wait till after the release u might not even be able to enter d trade because of the spontaneous reaction otherwise it will wast ur fund.
So i trade only five or 4 time in a month with huge profit.

Hi all experts,

I've been learning to trade the FX since 1 year ago. Well, the results are moderate only and I've been looking for a good tools to be used with. I found this 1MD and read through all the threads in this forum but I noticed that recently, it was not that active anymore. May I know if you all are still using this tool? I'm now evaluating it for the decision to purchase this tool. Anyone can advice me if it is still good to go ahead? In the meantime, I also noticed some bad comments about this tool from other forums. Of course that, the result is very subjective to individual setting or what-so-ever conditions applied.

Thanks in advance.

Warmest Regards,
Edwin

I believe this system would have just about broke even for the whole of 2011, so I can't agree with the published results. I no longer trade this any more, but I did run the EA on a back test to confirm this. On the Systems For Traders website, they have religiously traded this system throughout 2011 on a live account (exactly as per the mechanical rules on both GBP/USD and USD/JPY) and their results agree with mine.

I was a great fan of 1MD, and it made me a lot of (real) profit over an 18 month period, but I think that the market has changed and we see far too many false breakouts for this type of mechanical system to be effective any longer.

I fully agree with Dave, you can read my post (4 posts above this one) to see what problems one can have. The system to be profitable, have to have more than 60% win ratio. One can hope that after a bad 2011 we can have good 2012, but I have stopped trading 1minD, I was doing this from january to september. I'm trying to learn to be a better trader now, I have spent too much time on 1minD.

Greetings all,

I continue to use this method with some modifications in the number of pairs and money management technique. This has provided steady income for me without having to sit in front of the screen all day.

I spend about an hour on it daily. Here's a summary of my results for 2011. Each trade is sized to win or lose 3% of the account balance as of the first of the month.

Jan - 4 wins net - +12%
Feb - 6 wins net - +18%
Mar - 9 wins net - +27%
Apr - 7 wins net - +21%
May - 17 wins net - +51%
Jun - 6 wins net - +18%
Jul - 5 wins net - +15%
Aug - 6 losers net - -18%
Sep - 25 wins net - +75% (!)
Oct - 19 wins net - +57%
Nov - 16 wins net - +48%
Dec - 8 wins net - +24%

Plus, pip rebates provide another 4% or so monthly. I suggest evaluating a number of pairs and time frames to find something that works for you. The EA does not work (for me), and I have had to alter the money management and SL TP parameters to work for me as well. New for me this year is trading consistently losing pairs "in reverse," and this is working well so far.

Dave is correct that things have changed. So I made changes, too!

Best regards,
AZ
