Hi

Can anyone tell me if a broker would be able to see/access your settings for your EA if it was on their VPS? Would they know if your false S/L and T/P were false? This and any more info regarding VPS will be much appreciated.

Running your MT4 on a VPS is very good, especially if you are using EAs. It is even necessary for EAs.
Personally I wouldn't let my MT4 run on a broker's VPS.

Even if they would claim they don't, I know that my VPS administrator logged onto my VPS and tried to change some settings without knowing my password.
(I asked them to help me with something)

Have u any dealings with PipCloud before? I signup with them today this morning and waited more than 12hrs and no reply mail except an invoice. Support is virtually non existence. I emailed them a question they took 2-3 days to reply. Ok granted I emailed them on 25/Dec, but as a VPS provider they are supposed to be 24/7, even if not, since they only supply cloud vps to forex traders, at least 24/5.5, and they should have loook thru their contacts mail on 26/Dec and reply on 26/Dec. Instead I only got their reply on 28/Dec. Ok given the time differences it was likely to be 26Dec 9am for them its likely to be 26Dec9pm for me, but still if they had replied within 5 mins of reading the email, assuming they got to my mail by 3pm (coz of so much mails to read), and replied by 5pm on 26th dec, which is 5am 27dec. I would have their reply on 27Dec 5am or at least on 27Dec itself.

I have never tried their service but was thinking that is more straight forward for a VPS baby, than managing a Win OS VPS. Their prices are competitive too. I tried IWISHOST and was given 2 hrs access free to their DEMO server and was quite happy with that. If this is going to turn into a scam whereby they took my $ and refused to give me access to their VPS service (PipCloud), I would had to approach my bank to get this amt reversed out! And for USD14.99 is really quite a hassle and they dont accept PayPal, otherwise I can easily raise a dispute or get PayPal to contact them on my behalf to ask them to fulfil their service

What a bummer! I really dont know how long I had to wait. For IWISHOST I got the free demo within 2 hrs or signing up! If I still had not got my service access after 1 week (only counting working days), I am raising a SCAMMER alert in FPA. What the hxxx, what lousy VPS company this is and today is a working day! They dont hv enough staff to cater to customers signing up and ensuring delivering of services within 8 hrs of signup? Totally hopeless VPS services.

If PipCloud rep is reading my post, please respond and step up your services immediately! I believe within 8hrs to 24 hrs for VPS setup is sufficient and tolerable. When I google for review, one site even mentioned that they have staff 24/7 for support! What ROT! If support is 24/7 how come I cant even do live chat?

I think there are some scammers (I dont mean PipCloud) who will purposely setout some services that they know are in demand, set the prices quite low to attract customers then dont give service, dont give refunds. Since its a small sum most customers just rather not chase it up, the effort is not worth it

Sorry to hear about your experience.
I never tried that service. I would never go for such a solution, because I prefer to have a Windows VPS with all it's capabilities.
Have you solved the issue in the meantime?

I work in this, and I confirm that a VPS company can always (if they want) log into your system.
