Original FPA Traders Court Submission:

I am submitting the case against: www.GTCapitalInvestments.com

My Case is: Green Tree has been a thread in the Scams section. Their customer service is non-existent and requests for updates on closing out my account have fallen on deaf ears. It appears as though they could be crashing, althought they have workers answering the phones, and they send out weekly reports as to my earnings -- which are not bad.
Previously, I had posted bad reviews prior to a partial withdrawal but they would not release my money unless I retracted the negative posts here at FPA.
After I received my last payout of $10k, my account shows ~$16k, I went in with $15k in August of 2010.

New thread in the Scam Alerts Folder:

Review is submitted by Traveler on 02/24/11

The company was first contacted about the issue on 02/10/11 the last contact was on 02/24/11

Details: I used to have conversations with a John (Bed Wetter) Davenport. But since I emailed and faxed my account close out documents, not even the Wetter will return my calls.

It's interesting they still have girls answering the phones from remote locations and I still get weekly reports on my returns, which are not bad at all.

I did have a hard time of getting a partial withdrawal out in January and not until I posted "positive" posts here at FPA would they agree to wire the money into my account. I have since changed those posts to the truth!

Take Legal Action now

In case you haven't taken any legal action against them, don't wait another day. Take legal action now and if you are very lucky you might get your money.
You have read in your thread in the scam alert folder that they are packing their suitcases. There is another case against them with the sum being much larger than yours and I suppose there are more cases, where the customers probably don't know the existence of FPA to file a case against them.
Unfortunately we have to be realistic. I don't expect any representative of Green Tree to ever show up here and defend this or any other case against them. In a few days the case will be moved to the open cases and then to a voting. FPA will try to get in touch with them, but once more, don't lose any more time and take legal action against them.

Green Tree is gone!

Today I called the Green Tree number and it was announce that
"the number you are trying to call has been disconnected or no longer in service".

I have made several posts in the Scam Alerts folder and now, my fears have been confirmed.

I'm screwed.

Now filing a complaint with the CFTC and anyother legal entity that could help.

Advice here will be appreciated.:unhappy:

Hm... sorry, I'm not a native English speaker.
Maybe that's why I don't really get it.

What is the actual issue you have with the broker?
Does he ignore your withdrawal requests or didn't honor your profits or else?
Proofs?

Here are the facts:
1 Green Tree ignored all with drawal request via email or phone
2 Now, the Green Tree telephone answering service is now
"number has been disconnected or no longer in service"

What does this sound like to you?

Filing against Green Tree at CFTC...

I have filed a complaint with the CFTC just yesterday.
So, hurry up and wait.
I have no idea if they can find the scums who screwed me and others...

Again, use these CFTC and SEC phone numbers when filing

I posted these numbers before:
"Call the CFTC: (312)596-0531 and the SEC in LA: (323)965-3592"

Hopefully this way the cases pile up with the same case workers.

Good luck!

Thanks for clarifying.
Yup, it sounds like the old "take the money and run" scheme...
