Have any of my fellow Forex Peace Army members heard of Proform Tading, or had any dealings with this company?

Discuss is for general discussions of a financial company or issues related to companies.
Info is for things like "Has anyone heard of Company X?" or "Is Company X legit or not?"
Compare is for things like "Which of these 2 (or more) companies is best?"
Searching is for things like "Help me pick a broker" or "What's the best VPS out there for trading?"
Problem is for reporting an issue with a company. Please don't just scream "CompanyX is a scam!" It is much more useful to say "I can't withdraw my money from Company X" or "Company Y is not honoring their refund guarantee" in the subject line.
Keep Problem discussions civil and lay out the facts of your case. Your goal should be to get your problem resolved or reported to the regulators, not to see how many insults you can put into the thread.More info coming soon.

I have and I've worked with them a long time. They're really nice, especially Shawn, but as far as I know the site is going to be down for quite a bit, which is unfortunate.

By "worked with them", the FPA assumes that this must mean in the office and not as a trader working from home. This account was created from the same location as an account belonging to Apiary Funds.

Yes. I wonder the same. this ProForm Trading goes by the name of Apiary Investment Fund (a new spin off), and Boulder Capital Management (of Utah I guess).
there are several websites talking about Boulder Capital's new spin off, but they all seem a cut & paste of one original review. it makes you think that the company itself is jjust copying reviews on every website possible (i've seen the same review on a sports & fitness website).
Please advise.

Another obvious scam and also funnily amateurish in some aspects. I saw one video that seemed to be made for the Sesame Street audience. And one press release was written in an english so bad that it was impossible to make any sense out of it. Only one presentation was done professionally with paid actors and everything...but what they said was still pure nonsense and misrepresentation of course. It is some kind of fraudulent networking scheme, I reckon.
Rudypiper: You wondered about what was their press release doing on a fitness website. It is because they contract the third party PRWEB to disseminate their material. PRWEB will target websites where they believe the viewers will be potentially interested. The name " Proform " was simply too similar to the exercise machine manufacturer " Pro-Form ". Therefore, PRWEB sent the material at some surprising places LOL.

Sometimes, I d like to be allowed to post there about certain companies. But the FPA rules say that the reviews and ratings section is open only to those who have been actual clients of the company that is rated. So my hunting ground is more the " scam alerts " folder and the " Anyone heard of...this scam ? " folder.
I suggest some caution here, especially with the Apiary Investment Fund (Apiary Fund | the Apiary Investment Fund), as it does not have yet a long enough track record on the various trading related forums and blogs. From the fragmented pieces of information available, the most troublesome is the followings: According to Proform Trading LLC Announces Reorganization, Spinoff of Boulder Capital Management and Apiary Investment Fund | Online Banking, Trading, and Insurance, the head trader for the Apiary Investment Fund is Mr. Shawn Lucas from Pleasant Grove Utah, whose name is connected to the program “Teach Me To Trade” (Shawn Lucas, Teach Me To Trade | Spoke), which currently has 52 reports on the “Ripoff Reports” site (teach me to trade | Ripoff Report Directory | Complaints Reviews Scams Lawsuits Frauds Reported).
Many of the “too good to be true” educational/trading ventures are located in Utah and Florida. Once they get a bad name, they spinoff to another company and restart it all over again in another tiny town along the Salt Lake City corridor. They typically entice inexperienced traders to put money upfront (from about $700 to $8,000, non-refundable) for an educational period (which lasts at least several months). In return they would not only teach the “students” how to trade but would work with them to trade successfully to at least recover their educational fees, or, in the case of the Apiary Fund, to become active traders in their fund. These promises are often unfounded.
The Apiary Investment Fund itself, as well as the Boulder Capital Investment, is a spinoff of Proform Trading LLC. What stands behind these 3 entities is unclear to me yet, so I advise caution when dealing with them, especially when they ask you to send them a non-refundable sum for “educational/training” and “technology/software usage” fees. The entity “Boulder Capital Investment”... SNIP
Let not forget that the notorious “Teach Me to Trade” program was run by the Wealth Intelligence Academy out of Cape Coral FL, and that Mr. Shawn Lucas was part and this program. All of these gentlemen might be the most honest and nice people on earth, but the inter-connections between “Teach Me to Trade” , Mr. Shawn Lucas, “Boulder Capital Investment” and the “Apiary Investment Fund” would personally bother me a lot before I would subscribe to their ventures. At least do your own due diligent research before committing any funds.

this is all interesting info, but i wonder if the negative people are just lazy traders expecting to make a fortune doing nothing. I just went onto their site and checked out the training via a demo account and it looks really comprehensive. You can access their software, forum and training from the demo account. The forum is full of positive people who are happy with the company, i cant find one bad comment going back a year.
If you did contact US govt agencies, what happened? Sounds like you got nowhere because they seem pretty legit to me
