What time does my MT4 Trading platform show?

a) is it the Local time of my Broker in New Zealand?
b) is it London(GMT) or New York time?
it does not match exactly with my Local (West Africa) time

Who is your broker??
Sometimes, a broker is not where it claims to be.

The best person to answer your question is your broker. E-mail them or pose the question in their forum.

Different brokers have different GMT offsets. Just contact your broker's tech support and ask them.

Or, open your platform, drop down to the 5 minute chart, and check the displayed time of the most recent candle against your watch.

@Pharaoh,
Thank you so much, i did just that (checking the most recent candle on the 5mins chart). Their time is 2 hours ahead of mine.. Mine is GMT+1, that means theirs is GMT+3.

This will atleast help me interprete and apply trading signals...
I appreciate your response... May you experience an abundance of PIPS

Depending on how you trade, you can test your strategy with several platforms on different time zones.
It is really helpful if you are working on daily charts. Once you know on which time zone your strategy is more profitable, you can get the signals from there and apply them on your live account.

@f-man: Thanks for the advice. What zone do you find most profitable for yourself?

For day trading, I trade on the candle closing at 17.00 New York time.

We publish our EUR/USD daily trade on our twitter 4xangels_com

Hi f-man,
I don't like twitter, is there anywhere else I can find your EUR/USD trade signal?
