Good free strategies on MyFXBook.com run on a live account?

If someone has a good MT4 strategy, he should run it on a live account and put it on MyFXBook - this is my logic. Correct?

If you have a free strategy you want to share, showing it off on one or more of the MT4 sharing sites isn't a bad idea.

Be aware that many of these sites allow one of two things. Some let a trader upload a statement that may have been modified. Others pull the information from the broker, but allow the trader to filter it either by changing the start date and/or by some other means (comments on trades, currency pairs, etc). This means that the information displayed on those sites may or may not be complete and accurate.

As far as I know you can't modify the data on MyFXBook.com hence the data is accurate there from the broker.

Btw. this forum is not so lively. Maybe because your forum structure is too complicated dear Pharaoh?

Some forums are more lively than others. I believe it's our AsstModerator who likes complicated structures.

Altering the start date serves 2 possible functions. If you want to show off a specific trading strategy, then changing the start date to the start date of that strategy would be legit. On the other hand, consider if you trade high risk, making some money, then blowing a lot of the account out, then making some money before the next blowout. Just set your start date to the most recent low of your equity and your suicidal trading looks profitable.

Take a look at thse:

If they were still running, a carefully selected start date could make them appear profitable.
