I've got a bunch of news about the FPA's reviews for you.
First, in March of 2011, the number of companies reviewed broke above 2000. In January 2012, that number exceeded 2500. As I'm typing this, the number of reviewed companies stands at 2573. There were less than 1000 when I started working for the FPA back in December of 2007.
The programmers have been working hard to earn their beer supply. I've got multiple upgrades to tell you about.
For a couple of months, there has been a beta test of a Company Representatives feature in the reviews. This allows company representatives to post a company profile and to leave rebuttals and comments attached to specific reviews. The feature has worked well and is now considered fully functional. Each review page as a "Is this your site" link where representatives can register and login.
Binary Options brokers now have their own label to make them easier to find.
There's a new category in the reviews. It's called Forex World. Think of it as everything else that doesn't fit into the main categories. Two old labels have been moved there, and a new one has also been added.
VPS hosting services have been moved from Software to Forex World
Rebates has been moved from Brokers to Forex World. There was some debate over this. The deciding factor was that some of the rebate companies were not just rebate IBs, but also offered rebates on other forex products. Moving these to Forex World leaves Broker Reviews to focus exclusively on how a broker and clients interact, not how well a rebate company performs.
And there's a new label.
Payment Processors are also in Forex World. If you've ever wanted to leave a review on how you were treated by ClickBank or one of the other payment processors, now there's a place to do it.
Forex World will also be where some items that just won't fit into the usual categories will end up. Additionally, new products that still haven't given enough information about what they are may be placed there temporarily.
