How brokers manipulate prices using MT4

Looks like another copyright takedown by MetaQuotes.

For some reason, it looks like they don't want people to see how their software can be misused.

Large price differences at 13 March on MT4 AlpariUK

Hello,

I observed large price differences between Alpari UK and Dukascopy at 13 March (please see attached image...) It seems that Alpari had a wrong price row around one hour long till to the final gap correction. Maybe someone can confirm this event. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cross-check some other brokers. Then ask the broker with the weirdest prices to explain themselves.

I have been cross checking historical data from brokers that use the Metaquotes feed (alpari,Fair trade tech, think forex) seems like they use an average/smooted price in the candlestick and not the actual price taken on the 60th second for example in an M1 bar.

I imported and compared the Dukascopy data vs the Metaquotes feed and the comparison is in some cases on the back test results is 10-1, so any back testing done with the metaquotes data is fantasy and a waste of time.

I hope one day that this manipulation of historical data will be made illegal and brokers using this Metaquotes feed will be prosecuted, as it is one of the best scams I have ever seen!
