$250 stop loss for EURUSD (1 lot) is too big or too small?

My general recommendation is a hard stop on each trade that risks no more than 2% of your account balance (remember - slippage may make you lose more). If you intend to open multiple positions on a pair, you need to make sure that the total risk is still in the 2% range.
