Hi,

I need help in good martingale setting. i know martingale is risky strategy and many trade avoid this but i do Martingale + hedging + my money management so i easily survive.

Many traders think martingale is easy but it isn't true, it also need a lot of calculation like other strategy such like distance between orders, lot size, how much to increase lot size by order by order, take profit etc

Can you please provide best settings filling on it.

Initial Lot size :
PointStep : (Distance between orders)
Multiplier : (Next order lot size multiplication of previous order)
Take profit :
Stop loss :

Currently the settings i am using :

Initial Lot size : 0.01
PointStep : 38 pips (380 points)
Multiplier : 1.7
Take profit : 30 pips (300 points)
Stop Loss : 90 pips (900 point)

With my settings everything is going smooth but few of the trader said me i can improve it much better by calculating perfect pointstep, multiplier and take profit.

I am really confused how to calculate which settings is best.

Please help me with perfect settings and also if you have guide please let me know how to calculate the perfect settings.

Thanks

I think looking best setting for martingale trading need to try and make a comparison in backtesting, use a different platform and then start to test on each setup to looking best setting, I also trying use ea martingale, with an initial size of 0.01, and they use hedging position too, target only 15 pips and stop loss based preference, try using 100, so far still works

It's very risky brother .
Have you good data/history to backup your Martingale strategy.
Not my cup of tea but good luck

Yes, Martingale is risky, because it's like revenge to the market, increasing position size when order face loss floating, I use ea also based hedging and martingale, but I am always cut loss manual when ea works where I think against the trend.

Martingale has proven itself to be not good when trading, so i suggest you to lay it off.

I feel that the best setting for the Martingale strategy is to avoid using this strategy while trading. It reminds me of casino so much. I just cannot persuade myself to start treating it like a trading strategy which deserves any trust.

I fully agree with you.
Shan, it's just faster if you bet on red or black at roulette and increasing the bet every time you lose but trust me it won't end well..

Martingale trading strategy concept adopted from casino game roulette, many traders trying to bet in the forex market with martingale, however, this is a dangerous trading strategy in leveraged trading, many accounts do not last long or sometimes they can get lucky but because still want more again, uncertainty market makes strategy in failure.

Honest and perhaps brutal opinion? The best setting for a martingale system is "off". They don't work and have been shown not to work on a number of occassions.

Was going to say the same thing. I blew up a good few accounts with this system in the early days. Worked fine for a while, made some profit, then strong market erased my account. Tried a few strategies with it to no avail.
