DOW (Dow Jones Industrial Average) loss of 65.03 points on the day to end the session at 12,200.10

NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) loss of 56.39 points to end the session at 8,818.11

NASDAQ loss of 30.82 points for a close at 2,278.75

S&P 500 loss of 10.19 points for a close at 1,326.45

RUSSELL 2000 loss of 9.09 points to close at 692.49

FTSE Global Equity Index Series (GEIS) loss of 1.56 points to close at 236.27

FTSE RAFI 1000 loss of 40.09 points to close at 5,468.50

BEL 20 gain of 9.75 points to close at 3,698.58

CAC 40 gain of 39.57 points to close at 4,816.43

FTSE100 gain of 7.4 points to close at 5,875.4

NIKKEI 225 triple digit loss of 646.3 points to close at 13,099.20

On the NYSE today, advancers came in at 1,169; decliners totaled 1,965; unchanged came in at 108; new highs came in at 18 and new lows came in at 40. U.S. Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Market Index rises 3% to 1086.6 from 1054.9; U.S. MBA Purchase Index rises 12% to 405.3 from 362; U.S. MBA Refinancing Index falls 1% to 5054 from 5103.6.

U.S. Fourth Quarter Non-Farm Productivity rose 1.8% compared to consensus of an increase by 0.5%; U.S. Fourth Quarter Unit Labor Costs rose 2.1% compared to consensus of an increase by 3.8%.

Department of Energy data released today: U.S. Crude Oil Stockpiles rose 7 Million Barrels in the week compared to expectations of an increase by 2.6 Million Barrels; U.S. Gasoline Stockpiles rose 3.6 Million Barrels in the week compared to expectations of an increase by 1.8 Million Barrels; U.S. Distillate Stockpiles rose 100,000 Barrels in the week compared to expectations of a decrease by 1.8 Million Barrels; U.S. Refineries ran at capacity of 84.3% compared to expectations of a drop by 0.1 Pts at 84.9%; U.S. Crude Oil Stockpiles rose 7.0 Million Barrels at 300.0 Million Barrels.

President of Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Dr. Charles I. Commodities Markets
The trend was mostly lower across the board today for the Energy Sector: Light crude moved lower today by $1.36 to close at $87.05 a barrel; Heating Oil moved lower today by $0.03 to close at $2.42 a gallon; Natural Gas moved higher today by $0.04 to close at $7.99 per million BTU and Unleaded Gas moved lower today by $0.02 to close at $2.24 a gallon.

Metals Markets ended the session higher across the board today: Gold moved sharply higher today by $14.70 to close at $905.00 a Troy ounce; Silver moved higher today by $0.21 to close at $16.55 per Troy ounce; Platinum moved sharply higher today by $33.50 to close at $1,819.00 per Troy ounce and Copper moved higher by $0.10 today to close at $3.31 per pound.

On the Livestock and Meat Markets, the trend was mostly lower across the board today: Lean Hogs ended the day lower by $0.70 to close at $65.45; Pork Bellies ended the day higher by $2.18 to close at $95.18; Live Cattle ended the day lower by $0.15 at $94.48 and Feeder Cattle ended the day lower by $0.58 at $104.93.

Other Commodities: Corn ended the day lower by $7.75 at $501.00 and Soybeans moved lower today by $4.50 to end the session at $1,316.00.

Bonds were lower across the board today: 2 year bond moved lower by 4/32 to close at 100 11/32; 5 year bond moved lower by 5/32 to close at 101 4/32 today; 10 year bond moved lower by 6/32 to close at 105 11/32 and the 30 year bond moved lower by 17/32 to close at 110 18/32 on the day.

The e-mini Dow ended the session today at 12,193 with a loss of 127 points on the trading session. The total Dow Exchange Volume for the day came in at 207,901 which are comprised of Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange. The end of day results for the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) which is comprised of the total Exchange Volume for Futures and Options (EVFO) including Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange ended the day at 4,414,968; Open Interest for Futures moved higher by 138,889 points to close at 10,522,174; the Open Interest for Options moved higher by 117,867 points to close at 9,690,054 and the Cleared Only closed higher by 39 points to close at 21,071 for a total Open Interest on the day of 20,233,299 for a total Change on the day with a gain of 256,795 points.
