Currency nicknames

Have anyone here heard about almaro? They said that it is a new form of currency.

Most of these make some sense, but does anyone know the meaning behind "Fiber"?

Well, I think "cable" (GBP/USD) was named after the Trans-Atlantic telephone cable connecting New York with London. So, the "fiber" nickname for the EUR/USD would be the fiber-optic upgrade to the cable, probably coined by some Euro bulls. :)

And all this time I thought it was called "Fiber" because eating Euros was good for digestion.
