Difficult market, I made some moment then got stuck with some losing trades. I was down quite a bit for a while, but got steadied and should be alright if I patient. Today I will try AUS/USD short

Again thank you for some great ideas. I agree that it is likely we will continue to see Kiwi weakness. It was just a few days back when the Kiwi was the strongest with people not being able to get enough - how the mighty fall. The Euro is in an interesting dilemma. While the comedians in Italy are unable to form any government, I think the appetite for the Euro is limited. However that may change at a moment. Certainly it has great potential to go long. With the Dollar, the good Dr Bernanke is always the wildcard. He has shown himself to be just a bit hawkish of late though nothing that lasts. There is no doubt that USD has found strength and will in all likelihood retain that strength and thus buying it against the weakling makes sense.

Hi Andrew -

I'm surprised you stayed away from JPY today (I guess due to volatility) and AUD, which is also as weak as GBP. Also - CAD is showing a bit of strength today after job numbers.
Any reason why those other currencies are off the radar today?

Yesterday had few good setups at the time I was analysing the charts. The JPY and AUD were fairy neutral at the time.

Hi PetDane,

Still no stop losses on your trades I see. Be careful with that.

I promote very low risk trading to my clients. Personally I trade with a maximum of a 0.50% account risk per trade. Therefore it is the currency pair traded and the stop loss amount of the trade which determine the position size of the trade - but it always equals a pre-known account percentage risk should the trade get stopped out.

Constantly amazes me that people think that they can trade forex yet cannot calculate timezones, really, do a little research.

Might be blunt but it is a serious business, we all need a bit of giddy up from time to time (pun intended)
