Good Morning,

How are you doing? I'm quite optimistic this email reaches you well? I just
want you to know that I had an urgent trip to Spain for a seminar but I'm
having some difficulties which I will need your urgent assistance. I was
mugged [attacked] on my way back to my hotel. Kindly observe utmost
confidentiality and be rest assured that I'm fine and not hurt.

I will be glad if you can be of any assistance to me. I lost my money, bank
cards, mobile phone and my bag in the course of this attack. Now I have to
finalize my major aim of being here. I'm urgently in need of 2600euros
[about $3500us dollars] to complete this project and to balance my bills
till my departure next weekend. Can you please lend me this money or any
amount you can afford?

Kindly let me know if you would be able to help me out with the money. I
can then forward you the details require for a fast money transfer. I don't
yet have another mobile phone (still gathering my bearings and such), but I
have the access to the internet.

With best greetings and looking forward to read from you soon,
Sincerely,
Jeo.

If you know this person and are a good friend, email back and ask for some personal information to verify that the account hasn't been hacked. Better yet, call him to make sure he sent the email. Hackers using email contacts in an account to ask for money is frighteningly common. Cell phone thieves will often pull the same stunt.

More likely, this is a total stranger emailing you. If a scammer sends this email to 10,000 people, there are likely to be 2 or 3 who are foolish enough to send money.

Prasanga, please tell us that you didn't send the money.

This email is well known as a scam attempt.

Hello my dear friend AthenaFx,

My pyramid has been ransacked by tomb raiders. They've taken all of my gold and other valuables. Can you please send me $20,000 to help me finish a very lucrative business deal. If you can assist me in this, you will be richly rewarded later. :D

Hi Pharaoh,

I have something for you.

It is about a young man talking to God.

The young man : "Lord, what is eternity for you ?"

God : "It is just like one second"

The young man : "Lord, what is 1 billion dollars for you ?"

God : "It is just like one dollar"

The young man : "Lord, would you give me 1 billion dollars ?"

God : "Yes, wait a second"
