Earthquake In Japan

Stocks managed to make gains after news that an 8.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan triggered a tsunami that could have affects throughout parts of country. (Read more at Page Not Found - Millennium-Traders)

January Retail & Food Sales Revised to rise 0.7% from +0.3%; U.S. February Retail & Food Sales Excluding-Autos rose 0.7%; U.S. February Retail & Food Sales rose 1.0%; Compared to Consensus of an increase by 1.2%.

Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index:
University Michigan Mid-March Sentiment 68.2; University Michigan Mid- March Current Index 83.6; University Michigan Mid- March Expectations 58.3; University Michigan 12-Month Inflation forecast rose 4.6%; University Michigan 5-Year Inflation forecast rose 3.2%.

Business Inventories:
U.S. January Business Inventories rose 0.9%; was Expected to increase by 0.8%.
