Economic Data

Stocks fell over 200 points this morning after the latest economic data was released. (Read more at Page Not Found - Millennium-Traders)

Economic data released today:

Initial Jobless Claims:
U.S. Jobless Claims rose 26K to 397K in March 5 Week; Compared to Survey of an increase by 7K.

Continuing Jobless Claims:
U.S. February 26 Week Jobless Claims Revised to 371K from 368K; U.S. February 26 Week Continuing Claims fell 20K to 3,771,000.

Trade Balance:
The January 2011 international trade deficit rose 15.1% to $46.3 billion. Exports increased 2.7% to $167.7 billion. Imports rose 5.2% to $214.1 billion. U.S. January Trade Gap with OPEC Nations Grows Nearly 20% to $9.95B. U.S. January Trade Deficit with China Jumps 12.5% to $23.27B December. Trade Balance Revised To Deficit $40.26B from Deficit $40.58B. U.S. January Trade Deficit $46.34B; compared to Consensus of a Deficit of $41.5B.

Bloomberg Consumer Confidence:
U.S. Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index fell 44.5 Last Week.
